Character's name: Kunin (means "gift")
Character's age: 22
Character's attitude: Kunin is a quiet loner who lives by himself. He generally tries to avoid people. Once someone gets to know him they see that he is nice, sweet, and sadly falsely accused. He often stares out at the rising or setting sun, or at other times in a particular direction, with a forlorn look in his eyes.
Character's Race: human
Character's appearance: Kunin wears clothes of the same style of his tribe, though he is no longer counted as one of them. This consists of a sleevless brown shirt, long black leggings, and black boots that reach to about mid-calf He has long black hair that is pulled into a ponytail at the nape of his neck. An injury to his eyes causes them to be red, adding ot his already rather terrifying appearance. He has many tattoos over his body and face to show his high rank.
(his face)
(his tattoos, except they extend down both arms and cover his entire chest, face, and back)
Character's allegiance: neutral. Ayati at heart.
Weapons: He owns a collection of knives, most of which he carries on his person, which were handed down to him by his father. They are his most prized possession. He is also exceptionally skilled at all aspects of fighting, especially hand-to-hand. He can be very stealthy, but it's something he has to work at and concentrate on.
Other Info: He is able to use magic, but as of now has only been able to cast a single spell. This is partially because he doesn't know a single word in the ancient language.
History: Kunin was born a member of the Ayati tribe. Like the rest of the children, he grew up practically in the wild. He lost his parents at a young age, watching them murdered before his eyes. This caused him to hate war and conflict, and he grew up a pacifist. Also, during the same attack where his parents were killed, he was wounded in both eyes. Somehow he was miraculously not blinded, but his eyes lost their soft brown color and remained red.
Kunin grew up quietly for a while. When he was old enough to be trained in fighting he at first chose stealth, but then he decided he would rather learn acrobatics and fighting skills to better protect the other children of the tribe, who he regarded as siblings. It was found that he was a natural at nearly everything he tried. He was regarded as a prodigy and rose to be the highest ranked in his generation.
When he was sixteen, his best friend was found dead one morning, with one of Kunin's prized knives in his chest. Kunin swore he had nothing to do with it, but suspicion was turned on him anyway. They could find no other evidance, either for or against him, so they declared that he was a murderer. They banished him from the tribe, but warned him that if he ever showed his face to them again, he would be killed.
Just before he left, he cast a spell, his first and only spell. So that he would always know the location of his beloved tribe, he cast a spell on a girl name Cirilai so that no matter what, he would always know where she was and if she was in danger. He calls this spell his gift to her. He assumed she would never need to leave the tribe for a reason. He has been living on his own ever since.
Recently, while exploring the Beors, he discovered a white dragon egg. Or, to be more precise, it discovered him. The dragon inside had sensed his presence multiple times before and observed him. By the time Kunin was near enough to find it, the dragon had long decided that he would be his bond and hatched immediately.
Role Play Sample: Kunin sat in his home, listening to the silence. In a world that was torn by war, this was the sweetest thing he found he could hear.
But through that serene silence, echoes rang through his mind, all the false accusations. The unwillingness of his fellow tribemen to listen to his explanation, his defense. As if he would kill Suanno, his best friend. The only reason Kunin would ever fight would be to protect those closest to him.
He stared out at the setting sun, the light reflecting in his red eyes. He felt sad, but not the urge to cry. He would help his family and friends if ever there was a time or a need. He would know. Because of the gift he had given to Cirilai.
Dragon info:
Name: Lux
Color: a brilliant white. When he's in the sunlight, he almost appears to shine himself, which is what inspired his name.
Personality: In stark contrast to Kunin's calm, reserved attitude, Lux is very playful and outgoing. He is constantly cheerful; the only time he's ever unhappy is when he's separated from Kunin. Since hatching, Lux has made it his personal goal to make Kunin laugh, at least mentally, once a day or more.
Lux greatly admires and respects his bond for the trials he's suffered through without complaint. Kunin's sense of honor and integrity impresses him. He becomes annoyed, however, whenever Kunin's integrity conflicts with his emotions, usually over how he feels about Cirilai. He believes Kunin should tell her how he feels and stop tearing himself apart over it all, and if he doesn't, Lux threatens to tell her himself.
