*wonders if I'll ever stop making characters* Oh well, that's one of the things most fun on here. lol.
Your username: Jeriah/Tismri
Character's name: Same (Sah-meh)
Character's age: 18
Character's attitude: Same is very talkative and loves to joke and tease others. He can often be both charming and annoying at the same time. His loyalty is something often to be questioned; he might abandon his allies one day and risk his life for them the next. He enjoys killing almost too much, and his master acknowledged him as a prodigy in the arts of death, assassination, and out-right murder, and when he's in the mood to kill, he's something to be feared. However, when he's in his normal, friendly mood, it's practically impossible to be afraid of him.
He's an excellent swimmer and likes to spend a lot of his time in the water. He can move silently and nearly invisibly when he's under, and he can hold his breath for almost two minutes.
Character's Race: human
Character's appearance:
Same has white hair that has a light blue tint to it. All his teeth are pointed, and one is longer than the others, adding a strange, dangerous kind of cuteness to his smiles. He has lavendar colored eyes. He wears a shirt that matches the color of his eyes and light gray pants and sandals, and also a black hooded travelling cloak. He also wears three belts: one is around his waist and another around his rib cage--these two hold his sword to his back--and another fairly loosely around his hips. This last one holds his water supply, since carrying his sword puts a strain on him and causes him to dehydrate quickly. He is lean, but also fairly muscled. Because of his fairly small size, it's easy for his enemies to underestimate his strength.
Character's allegiance: neutral. He'll do anything either side hires him to do, especially if it involves killing someone. He gets very annoyed when someone specifies that he can't kill or even harm anyone on a mission, but he'll do as they say. He has closer ties to the Varden than he does to the Empire, as he blames Galbatorix for the death of his family.
Weapons:
Same carries this gigantic sword on his back, held in place by two of his belts. It takes a considerable amount of strength to weild this blade, as well as skill. He and his brother had both trained to use these huge swords and were both very proficient at it.
He also has considerable hand-to-hand skills, though he prefers to use his sword. Once in a test of his strength, his master sent him into battle without a weapon against nearly a hundred enemies, and he managed to take well over half of them out before he received any kind of serious injury.
He has some small ability to use magic, but is no good at it at all, so he rarely even tries. When he does, it usually exhausts and dehydrates him quickly.
Other Info: He has a weakness for any kind of dairy product, especially cream, and he's a softy when it comes to animals. Also, he's left-handed.
History: Same was born the second son to a travelling mercenary who specialized in the use of giant swords. From the time they were young, he and his brother were trained in order that they could use these blades, too. The brothers were close, but also very competitive, much to their mother's anxiety. Their father, however, encouraged their rivalry as he taught them. Same's father was amazed at how quickly he trained, surpassing his brother who was more than three years older than he. Same also showed a great amount of physical strength, possibly due to his insistance that he go swimming every time they were near the sea or a river. His mother sometimes called him a little fish.
On his sixteenth birthday, Same was presented with his own blade, much to his glee. His happiness was short-lived, however. Two days later a group of Galbatorix's soldiers attacked the family during the night. Same was the only one to survive, and out of anger over the deaths of his family, he killed every one of them in a long and torturous way.
Since then, he has pretty much lived the same way he had with his family, traveling from city to town. He's very slow to trust people and quick to betray if he wishes. But despite that, once he's your friend he'd be willing to risk his life for you, if he wishes. He rarely does anything he doesn't want. This all pretty much describes his relationship with the Varden; he'll work with them, many of them actually like him, but they tell him absolutely nothing when it comes to their secrets.
During his time visiting the Varden, he met and befriended the Rider Elaine. Whenever we was with her, he would pester her to loosen up her serious demeanor and have some fun once in a while; he even went so far as to make a deal exchanging his help for taking her out swimming one day. The trip nearly ended in disaster when Elaine nearly drowned, causing her dragon Eridor to become outraged. Same saved her life, but for a long time afterward blamed himself for nearly getting her killed.
It was around this time that he realized he had developed feelings for her, which was the true motivation for spending so much time with her. If she had asked, he would have given up everything and fought for the Varden exclusively to stay by her side. However, by the time he'd finally mustered the courage to admit his love to her, she had already chosen a mate in Dublin Stormfellow.
Learning this crushed Same's heart and spirit, leaving him cold, lonely, and truly dead inside. For a long time afterward--at least five years--his moved about aimlessly through life, and if he came across some unlucky souls who lacked the common sense to avoid him, he would cut them down mindlessly. He wasn't able to stop himself until he came across a little girl in the Spine. The child was just as drenched in blood as he was, and although she played coy and innocent, he could see in her eyes the same dead, murderous expression. They stared at one another warily for a long time before the girl turned about and vanished deeper into the woods. Same was shaken by the encounter and, although he continued to be emotionally dead, he lost his drive to kill all he came across. Since then, he has continued to live aimlessly, his broken heart still beating painful reminders of what he had lost.
Role Play Sample:
Same stared out at the plain spread out before him, glancing a few times at the army camped out there. When did the Varden not need his skills, he wondered. Or the Empire? Well...he didn't care too much for helping the Empire. After all, it was Galbatorix's fault his parents and brother were dead. But that didn't mean there wasn't a profit in running a few little jobs for the man, especially if it meant someone would get to taste his blade.
He looked around when he heard the sound of running water, and noticed a large hill off to his left, that was quite flat on top. There seemed to be a stream running off one side.
Same grinned to himself and headed for the water at a dead run, leaving his sword against a tree and stripping off his shirt and shoes.
"Kawabunga!!!!!" he yelled, cannonballing into the lake at the top of the hill.
