OOC: Now look what you did Jeriah...now I'm in a modern mindset! lol
"SPRING BREAK!!!" Tristan exclaimed at the top of his lungs as he rushed out of school. His arms were open wide as he relished in the fact that he didn't have to do any homework for one full week! He inhaled deeply! "Can you smell that! That's the smell of freedom and fun!!!" Tristan grinned widely as he talked to no one in particular.
*** Romulus placed his books inside his locker, happy that he wouldn't have to see them for a full week. He closed it shut, happy that he had finished his assignments already for the following week. It meant more time to relax and hang out with friends, not to mention a break from football too! He smiled, adjusting the hanging backpack on his shoulder. He walked out into the sunny parking lot, heading toward his Chevy Silverado. As he was taking out his keys, they had somehow slipped out of his hands. He bent down, but accidently bumped into someone in the process. "Hey, sorry!" Rom apologized as he gazed up to see who it was.
*** Einar groaned at the text he got from his Uncle Stigy. Happy 17th!!! Einar slammed the phone shut. He didn't want to be reminded it was his birthday. It always reminded him that he was the one alive and not his mom. Not wanting to think about it or celebrate his birthday, he slammed his locker shut, and marched toward the parking lot, but had run into someone when he had turned sharply around.

OOC: It's always my fault. lol, it's because of my dreams that you made this board in the first place. Daemon followed after Tristan from the school, his enthusiasm somewhat lacking. This spring break was not going to be the best of his life. His parents were leaving town that week, and with no one else to watch after them, he and Saenon were being forced to stay at their mom's friend's place. Jeshelle was a nightmare woman, and Daemon was sure she hated him. She seemed to adore his sister, though, so hopefully he could just hide behind her the whole week. "Yeah, I can smell it, too," he said sulkily to Tristan. "Too bad I won't be able to experience it. I'm going to be in hell." ~~~~~ Tenel Ka pulled her keys out of the pocket of her designer jeans and walked toward her Mercedes, her attention focused on what she might do the following week. She had been hoping her mom might take her and maybe Tristan out camping, like they used to when she was little, but the doctors at the hospital insisted that her mom not do any sort of rigorous activity until her health was better. Tenel Ka felt depressed by that. It seemed as if she wasn't going to be able to leave town at all this week. She decided she might call up some friends and see if they wanted to hang out. Just as she reached her car, she felt someone bump into her. "It's all right," she said, looking down to see who it was. Her face brightened when she recognized him. "Oh, hi Rom!" ~~~~~ Marola walked through the school halls slowly, trying to stay invisible. She knew what they were all saying about her now, all the words used to describe her. It wasn't fair! It wasn't as if she had seduced Tyr into sleeping with her. It was completely the other way around! And yet they all continued to adore him and brand her. She put her hand on her stomach; she was obviously showing now, so anyone who hadn't known before certainly could tell now. She was just walking past Einar when he suddenly turned around and nearly knocked her off her feet. "Why don't you watch what you're doing?" she asked him bitterly, not looking him in the eye. She couldn't look at anyone anymore. All that judging was unbearable.

OOC: I'm glad you know that this is your creation lol.
Tristan's wide grin quickly turned upside down. He hated seeing his best friend in a gloomy mood. "Hey, it can't be that bad." He nudged his Daemon with his shoulder, trying to bring his spirit up. "Maybe she'll get fed up with you that she'll let you out this year." He attempted to comfort. His eyes suddenly brigtened at an idea so fabulous that he knew for sure he was a genius. "Why don't you spend the week over at my place! It'll be the ultimate Spring Break! We'll never sleep and we'll play video games all day long! And hey! Maybe we can manage to pull some pranks on people...or...even see if we can see that rather cute burnette that we all know you adore; she's bound to be hitting the mall all next week?" He referred to Meera, trying to appease to his best friend's desires to get him in a brighter mood. He was never fun when he was gloomy.
*** Romulus squinted his eyes as the sun momentarily shone into them as he stared up to a shadow that came to block the sun from his eyes. He felt himself grin like an idiot when Tenel Ka's face beamed down at him. "Hey, TK." He hastily picked up his keys, his right hand steadying his backpack. "Sorry about that." His grin turned sheepish. "I got slippery fingers." He chuckled nervously as he stared at her. Since he first spotted her her freshman yearin English class, they had become quick friends - hanging out a few times a month. But since a few months ago, he really couldn't pinpoint when, but he began having feelings for her...more than friendly feelings. He wasn't sure how she felt about him and was a bit intimated to ask her out, since she was the richest teenager in all the land! Which, never bothered him before, but he wasn't quite sure how she expected dating to be; he wasn't exactly rolling in the dough. Not like she would want to date him anyway. He mentally sighed. Realizing that he was still smiling like an idiot, he opened his mouth to talk. "You have anything fun planned for Spring Break?" He asked, feeling his feet walk her to her car.
*** Einar groaned, having bumped into a person. "Sorry." He grunted out, before realizing who it was. "Oh, Marola...sorry about that." He looked at her. She wasn't her usual bubbling self, well, not since rumor had it that she was knocked up now. Stupid Tyr. Not man enough to do anything but treat girl's like objects. "Hey...you okay?" He asked her, while wondering why he cared. It wasn't his business after all, plus everyone was scared of him. Why talk to the lonely bad boy? Well...there was one person who didn't seem scared at him. His heart fluttered as an image of Gianna appeared in his mind. He absently wondered what she was doing for Spring Break. He shook himself from these thoughts, trying to talk to the branded girl in front of her. Suddenly, she didn't seem so different from him.

Daemon at first wasn't hopeful at Tristan's comments, but his mood brightened when he suggested staying over at his place rather than locked away in that abyssmal house. He grinned. "Dude! That would be totally awesome! We'd eat snacks all the time. And this week I am going to beat you in a Halo tournament, I promise you!" He paused when Tristan mentioned Meera, and he found himself looking around the parking lot for her. He didnt hold much hope in getting her attention though. Why would she even look at him when she could literally have any guy at school? Still, he wouldn't mind just seeing her. ~~~~~ Tenel Ka just stood there smiled back at Rom for several minutes, the lack of conversation not disturbing her. She could just stand there staring at him all day. He was one of the first guys who just wanted to be her friend; he didn't seem to care about her money or her looks, and he didn't pity her for her arm. She kept secretly hoping he would ask her out soon, but as she became disappointed, she started to become convinced that he wasn't looking for that sort of relationship. And she didn't want to risk their friendship by mentioning it, so she was left in maddening silence. She suddenly realized he was talking and it took her half a second to remember what he had been asking her. She also realized they were walking to her car together. "Ah...Nothing really planned," she told him. "I was really hoping to get out of town for a while. I haven't been on a good hike in forever." ~~~~~ Marola glared at the wall of lockers as Einar apologized. She had stopped for a moment to recover herself, her hand still on her stomach. "I'm fine," she told him. But even as he said it, tears started welling up in her eyes and she suddenly broke down sobbing. These stupid emotions were so hard to contain now; she was crying at the drop of a hat these days and couldn't even explain why. She just hated Tyr for doing this to her. She finally managed to look at Einar, wondering why he even cared to ask. As far as she had seen, he didn't even have a heart. Well, he did have a soft spot for that one girl.

"Awesome! A full week of just bumming around! I love it!" Tristan laughed. "Just let your Mom know, okay? My parents are pretty cool with you, so I don't think they'll mind." He playfully punched Daemon as soon as he started to gaze around the parking lot for his crush. He smirked. "Hey! Pay attention to me! We got plans to make and then you can google your eyes out." He began to push him to Tenel Ka's car, where she normally took him home if he asked nicely. "Come on! We'll make sure to include the mall, then you can see her shop tell she drops!" He laughed, secretly hoping that he could see his own crush over the break.
*** Romulus nodded. "That's cool. A good hike sounds fun." He suddenly became nervous. "Um, I was wondering." He tried to play it cool as he brushed a hand through his hair. Well, better know now or later if there would ever be anything more between them. Even if he had his heart crushed, maybe they could still hang out...maybe. "If you're busy tomorrow night? There's going to be a meteor shower...and I was wondering if you wanted, to uh, check it out with me...you know, just me and you?" He shuffled his backpack, wondering what TK was thinking, if she even knew that this was his attempt to ask her out. "I have my telescope...and we can do a late night picnic...if..if you want." He hesitantly added, trying to level his breathing. Who knew asking a girl out on a date was more stressful than football!!?
*** "You don't look fine..." Einar raised a dubious eyebrow at her. Immediately after he said that, she started to bawl! "Whoa!" he raised his hands up, frantic at this outburst. "Hey, its all right! I didn't mean anything by it! I was just wondering how you were feeling! Please!" He attempted to pat her back to comfort her, but really didn't know what he was doing. "Just calm down. it's all right!" He groaned, what to do? He momentarily thought about what his Uncle would tell him about his Mom when she cried. He used to wrap his arms around her. Hoping that Marola didn't think of anything perverted, Einar drew her in for a hug. "It's going to be okay." He said, still patting her back awkwardly at his attempt to help the sobbing sophomore (OOC: ? What year is she? Einars 17...so he's a Junior...so..I'm guessing sophomore)

OOC: Yeah, sophomore sounds good. lol
Daemon dragged his attention from the parking lot back to Tristan as they continued walking. He was grinning, finally excited for this week. "Awesome, man. I can't wait. This is going to be the best week ever!" He smiled knowingly at the mention of seeing Meera at the mall. "I'll bet you're hoping we're going to see another girl there as well," he said, knowing his friend had a crush on Teodora. Suddenly, his phone vibrated in his pocket. He glanced at the texted he received: Don't forget. Dr.'s appointment @5. <3 Sae He groaned at the reminder. His sister could be really naggy sometimes. ~~~~~ Tenel Ka listened, her smile growing at Rom's fumbling attempts to ask her out. And what a romantic first date! A picnic under the stars? Heck, yeah! "Well, it looks like now I do have plans for tomorrow," she said, putting her hand on his. "I'll see you tomorrow night." She noticed that Tristan and Daemon were walking over to her car. Normally, she would only drive Tristan; the two of them together made the worst of road hazards. But now she was happy enough to take on anything. ~~~~~ Marola continued to cry even as she was surprised Einar hugged her. Still, she was grateful as she buried her head against his shoulder. She hadn't had anyone really to talk to since all this started; her former friends now shunned her like the plague. "I'm so scared," she said. The words were spilling out of her mouth even as the tears came from her eyes; she was unable to stop either of them. "I'm not ready to be a mom...I'm just sixteen...I don't even know the first thing about kids."

Tristan patted Daemon's back with pride. "Absolutely! Best Week with My Best Buddy!" He smiled and then laughed. His laugh faltered at the mention of a certain girl. He coughed and choked. "Wha--what?" Tristan blinked. "No!" Tristan replied stubbornly. He couldn't believe he had fallen for Teodora. It was during all his attempts to make her laugh (which, in his opinion, failed miserably), that he had begun to see her in a new light. "Maybe..." Tristan sighed, knowing that Teodora would never like him. "At least Meera talks to you. Teodora yells at me all the time for doing stupid things..." He gave a half frown. "Someday I'll get her to like me!" He balled his fist and dramatically lifted it as he stared out into the sky, pledging his life to this deed. He blinked back into reality as he spotted Romulus talking with Tenel Ka. "Come on, Tenel Ka will probably be in a good mood now." He smirked, giving Daemon a knowing look. "We can get her to take us home." He snickered.
*** Romulus let out a quick breath, having held it as he waited for TK's reply. "Great!" He smiled widely, especially at her touch. "I'll pick you up at 8? The Shower is at 9:10, so I figure it'll give us some time to eat and look at the stars before it starts." His heart beated madly. This was like a miracle! She actually said yes! He wanted to jump up and down. He gave a nervous laugh. "I'll see you soon! Tenel Ka!" He turned to walk off, but out of his excitement, he didn't realize that their was a car next to them. He bumped into the side mirror. "Ouch. Opps..." He let out another nervous chuckle. "See you!" He said again and walked toward his car, happy as can be.
*** "Hey, its gonna be okay." Einar told her, feeling sad that she was placed in this unfair circumstance. True, it took two to tango, so to speak, but, still, Marola was now going through it all alone because Tyr wasn't taking responsibilty. He sighed as she continued to cry into his shirt. "I'm sure you'll get the hang of it, Marola. I mean, you're already doing the best you can; you're taking responsibility...that's more than what other people would do." He told her, expressing his true opinion to her. He started to notice other students eyeing them suspiciously and rudely (more to the crying girl in his arms), making he glare at them in return. They scampered off rather quickly after that. "Hey, you got a ride home? I'll take you home." He told her, not wanting anymore stares directed at them.

Daemon smirked at Tristan's denial, which was a pitiful attempt. Even he seemed to know it, when he made his declaration to the sky. He kind of shrugged when Tristan mentioned that Meera would talk with him. "She doesn't pay any more attention to me than to any other guy, really. I mean, she might be a little more relaxed, but that's because we were friends a super long time ago." He sighed, wondering what had caused him and Meera to go their seperate ways so long ago. His phone buzzed again. Don't be late this time!!! <3 Sae He sighed and began to type out a response on his phone as Tristan gestured to his cousin's car. Going to T-man's. Pick me up? BOOMBABY! ~~~~~ Tenel Ka smiled at Rom's obvious excitement, and really she felt like bouncing on her feet. "Sounds perfect," she told him. "I'll see you then." She laughed...giggled, really...when he walked into the car's side mirror. She waved at him as he left. "Later, Romulus!" she called out to him. Then she turned as Tristan and Daemon finally reached her. Before her cousin could ask, she told him, "Yes, you can ride with me. Just don't raid the fridge, mess with the interior lights, or touch the emergency air supply." She hit the button on her key and unlocked the doors, a gigantic smile on her face as she thought of how great tomorrow night with Rom would be. ~~~~~ Marola attempted to force herself to stop crying as Einar comforted her. His words meant a lot to her, and it sounded as if they were genuine. She took a deep breath and tried to steady herself. She could feel the stares of the other students walking by and didn't turn around to look. She was surprised by his offer. "I...I could use a ride home. Thanks," she said. She took another moment, just to make sure she wasn't about to burst into tears again. "Sorry for bawling on you like that. I just seem to start crying at the most random things now."

"Well, if they're more relaxed, that means they like you. I think my aunt said that means they're showing their true feelings, what ever that means." Tristan spoke to his buddy as they reached his cousin's car, after Rom left. An amused grin was on his face as Tenel Ka listed her rules. "Man, cuz, would these faces make a mess?" He asked innocently, knowing full well that the last time they were in her car, that they had too much fun pressing random buttons. "Sooo....what did Rommie want?" Tristan asked, noticing the large grin on her face.
*** Einar hid a sigh of relief once Marola stopped crying. "No problem." He told her, referring to taking her home. "Its the least I could do." He replied with a shrug. He glanced at his shirt as she apologized for crying profusely. "Ah, don't worry about it. Its just a shirt." He began to steer her toward the exits, and to his silver camero outside. "Isn't that cause of the hormones or something?" Einar asked, without thinking. He had heard that females got really emotional and cranky when they were pregnant. He soon realized what he had said. "I'm sure its just stress." He added, leading her away from the cold stares of passerbys.

Tenel Ka rolled her eyes at her cousin's innocent expression as she slid into the driver's seat. "Just get in the car," she told the boys. Daemon catapulted himself into the back seat, and she could tell he was wanting to hit more buttons. "Don't. Touch. Anything." She emphasized each word as she pulled a bottle of raspberry flavored water out of the fridge and set it in the cup holder, switching the automatic settings in it from hot--for her morning coffee--to cold. She would take sips of it at stop lights on the way. Her eyes rolled again at Tristan's prying questions. "We were talking about Nunya," she told him, giving him a sideways glance. "Nunya Bizness." ~~~~~ Marola followed Einar outside, ignoring all the hateful stares. The parking lot was still full of kids chattering excitedly about the break, but their tones became hushed and conspiritorial when the noticed her. She didn't care much about Einar's insensitive comment, but appreciated it when he seemed to have caught himself. She got into the car and stared at the dashboard. "You know," she said to Einar after a moment, "You're not as bad as you like to make yourself out to be." In fact, he seemed to be genuinely nice, when he wanted to be. As unexpected as it seemed, Marola thought she might have found her first real friend since this whole fiasco started.

Tristan hopped into the front passenger seat next to his cousin. His eyes widened with delight as he spied the wondrous buttons lined in the interior of the car. "Man, Tenel Ka, you get all the fun stuff..." He complained half-hardheartedly - there was a reason why he wasn't allowed his own car yet. The young teenager glanced at his cousin's missing hand, but averted his eyes when Tenel Ka was being uncooperative. "Really!? You're using that lame joke!" He looked at her with suspicion. "That means that it was a good conversation. He looked over his shoulder at Daemon. "It means Rommie-boy might have asked Tenel Ka out!" He smirked back at his cousin. "Is that it? Huh, huh?" He asked, poking her on the arm. "Come on, you can tell us, I won't laugh." He lied, his lips already threatening to burst into laughter. "Ooo what does this button do?" His attention diverted to a blue button next to the radio. This was new. Did she already get another car?
*** Romulus reached home, elated and dazed at the same time. He couldn't believe that Tenel Ka said yes. Excited, he dropped his backpack down and began to plan out his date with Tenel Ka, running around the house for blankets and food, a bit early than needed.
*** Einar practically escorted Marola to his car like a bodyguard as he spotted stares pierce toward them. He had opened the passenger side for Marola and closed it tightly once she got in. He hopped into the driver seat and began the journey to her house. A shrug of indifference came from Einar at Marola's comment. "I don't try to be what I'm not. People like to place labels on others." He merely stated as he exited the school parking lot. He thought about the comment some more and then surprisingly chuckled. "My uncle says if I ditch my leather jacket people would think of me differently. But whatever. I like it and I could care less about what others think. They never seem to be there when you need them the most anyways..." He muttered, recalling his freshman year. He was popular then and did a lot of things he wished he hadn't. It was after he got in trouble for breaking a kids arm that he realized that he didn't want to be that person, so he changed, but got branded by his so called friends when he did. Einar quickly realized that true friends were hard to come by and began to stick to his loner appearance. Einar cleaned up his act, getting better grades as well as getting multiple jobs to pay for all the damage he had done that year... "Where's your house?" He asked as he drove out the lot, distracting his mind from the past.

Tenel Ka started slightly when Tristan accurately guessed that Rom had asked her out. She wasn't distracted so much by his correct assumption as she was by thoughts of how great tomorrow night would be. "You can think that if you want," she told her cousin as she started the car and left the parking lot. She eyed the button Tristan gestured to. "Don't touch it," she warned him. She was likely going to be repeating this phrase several times over the course of this ten-minute drive. She hadn't seen exactly which button he had pointed to. It could have been the "Call OnStar," or the Sirius sattelite radio. It wouldn't be too disatrous if he hit te second one. If it was the first...well, he would have to be the one explaining to the OnStar folks why they had called. Finally, she arrived at Tristan's house and pulled up to it. "See you two fools later," she told them, still smiling. Despite herself, her mind kept drifting to her date, and she was already planning what she would wear and how she would do her hair. The next day would not be able to go by fast enough. ~~~~~ "113 Gil'ead Drive," Marola told Einar her address. She stared out the car window as he drove and she watched the familiar sceneary fly by. She had lived her entire life in this town, and knew everyone. Well, everyone in her neighborhood, anyway. There were one, maybe two older ladies who still treated her kindly. One was Diana's guardian, Serenity, for sure. All the others gave her the same judgemental stares as her fellow students. After several moments of silence in the car, Marola gave a sideways glance at Einar. "Um...Should I...Do you think I should...keep the baby?" she asked him. She hadn't asked the opinion of anyone else yet, but the thoughts had been tormenting her for the longest time. "Or should I give it up for adoption?"

"Fine, be that way!" Tristan replied with a grunt as Tenel Ka wouldn't reveal anything. He was more annoyed when he wasn't allowed to push the button. "You got all these cool gadgets, and you won't let us play with them. I thought you loved me, Cousin?" He faked a pout, but winked at Daemon, seeing if his ploy would work to get her to let them play with things. Apparently the effort failed, as she seemed to ignore him. Thinking she was preoccupied with thoughts about Rommie, Tristan let her be; she deserved some happiness afterall. Finally they reached his house. He got out of the car and waved as his cousin pulled out of the driveway. "Tell him to keep his hands to himself, or I'll break them!" He yelled out to her as she drove off. He grinned at Daemon. "She so has a date with Rommie-boy. I'm half tempted to follow her to find out where they're going to be and ruining it...but...she'll hate me forever, and I don't want that." He muttered to his best friend. "Come on," He patted him on the shoulder, "let's get a good round of Call of Duty in before dinner." He gestured for them to go inside.
*** Einar nodded at her directions and made way to her house. The ride was silent at first, which made Einar feel a bit awkward, but he didn't made it after a few more minutes. It seemed they were just sitting in comfortable silence, however it was short lived. Einar shuffled nervously at Marola's drastic question. He blinked for a moment, processing his answer. After a moment, he simply asked, "What do you want to do?"

After she dropped the guys off, Tenel Ka drove to her own house a few minutes away. It was by far the largest house in the city, with four floors, a ten-car garage, and a pool large enough to fit the entire high school student body and probably still have enough room for everyone to move around. She also had an entire floor of the house to herself. She dropped her school stuff off in the bedroom--she had intended to study some over the break--and went into her closet, which was another entire room. There, she looked through the racks and racks of clothes she had, as well as the endless piles of shoes, and tried to decide what she wanted to wear tomorrow. ~~~~~ Daemon smirked as Tristan mentioned his cousin had a date with Rom. "Hey, we could at least follow and take pictures or something. Then we can blackmail her into doing more stuff for us," he suggested as he went inside the house with his best friend. He grinned at the suggestion of CoD. "Yeah, let's kill some Nazi zombies!" he agreed enthusiastically. ~~~~~ Marola thought over Einar's question for a moment. "I don't know," she admitted. "I don't know anything about kids, and I don't know anything about moms either." That was always a hurtful subject for her, as she thought of how her own mom had died not long after she was born. "That's why I was going to give it up. But now...I don't know, I guess I'm feeling attached. I don't want to let it go. I'm even thinking of names." She smiled a little embarrassedly.

Tristan's face turned devious at Daemon's suggestion. "We sooo could do that..." That was a bit better than his idea of ruining her date. Tenel Ka wouldn't hate him for life, but would forever vow to kill him if he ever exposed whatever pictures they managed to get. "Mmm, let's think a bit more on it...I'm with you. Let's go kill some zombies and pig out to our hearts' intents!" He smiled as he headed into his two story home. It was far bigger than most of the homes in Algaesia, but it still wasn't anything compared to what his cousin was living in. After all, it paid well when her parents were CEOs of a major corporation company. And despite how Tenel Ka might feel, she was bred to take over the company and Tristan was even bred to become VP one day, a job he dreaded completely. He hated the corporate stuff. Nope, he's whole dream was to be a bum on a beach, okay, maybe not a complete bum. No, Tristan dreamed to become a game designer - to design games that helped people laugh and see the pleasant side of life...a life he had always dreamed of.
The young teenager walked into the house, dropping his book bag onto the floor near the stairs. "You hungry?" He asked his buddy as he marched over to the kitchen. "I think I still got some pizza from last night..." He told Daemon. Tristan was use to ordering out; his parents were rarely home, and his mother could care less to feed him.
*** Einar listened to Marola silently, with some amusement. "I think you got your answer there, Marola. You already know what you want; so go get it. What does it matter what other people think? But, if you want to know my opinion," Einar turned onto her street. "I think you should keep it. I mean, yeah, you could the baby up for adoption, but, he or she wouldn't have you, you know what I mean? I would give anything to know my mom." He admitted, thinking about his birthday, and how his Mom died giving birth to him. He sighed. "Its going to be tough to keep it, but, there are programs now that can help out, and you know what? If you ever need a friend, well, you can always call me." He offered, feeling like a deep trust was building between them. He pulled up to her house. "I mean it too, if you need rides to the clinic for check ups, or whatever, just call me." He smiled and got out of the car, as he went to open her door to help her out.
*** Romulus sat on his bed, listening to music, as he thought about his date tomorrow night. He glanced over at the clock. 5:45pm. The day was going by super slow. Ugh. Why ca't it go any faster? He collasped onto the bed, a grin on his face. Tenel Ka actually said Yes! And to me! I can't believe it! Does she mean she likes me? Or does she think its a friend thing? He wondered with a slight frown. I hope I made it clear that it was a date...she did touch my hand when I asked her! Yeah! It's gotta be a date. Oh no! I hope I have some clean clothes! Rom bolted up from his bed and ran off to do his laundry, much to the surprise of his parents.
