Mar laughed at her. "You have more weapons on you than an entire town legion!" Mar smiled, pulling his cloak over his swords and making for the door.

Kalri laughed following him out the door. She was anxious to get out and also a little hungry.

Mar led her to the streets, but with the wall still in sight. Gesturing for her to lead, Mar kept his distance, letting her travel for herself. He would watch, and be there is there was any trouble, but she was on her own.

Kalri seeing Mar's signal to her took the lead as she began exploring the city. Hearing a lot of commotion, she proceeded in to a building with loud music and lots of talking. 'This sounds like it could be fun.' As she walked into the building she saw many tables, a bar, and minstrels performing. (OOC: Alagaesia night club) She walked to the bar and ordered a drink. Giving the barman a few coins, she proceded to walk to a table to sit down and observe for a while. As she passed a group of men, one reached out and slapped her on the backside.

Mar laughed as he saw a man slap her buttocks, but then he grew worried. Reaching out with his mind, he let he know it was him, and not to overreact. Have some fun for a change.

Kalri felt Mar touch her mind. She looked towards him with a sly smile as he watched her. Turning to the man, Kalri sat her drink down. Taking his face in her hands she kissed him passionately then broke the kiss, picked up her drink, and headed to a table leaving the man with a dazed look in his eyes. 'How was that?' she sent back to Mar.

Mar smiled, glad she was enjoying herself and learning control. 'Much better. Just don't let that sort of thing do too far, or angry "husband" will have to find you,' he told her, a sly smile on his lips.

Kalri smiled at him across the room. Sitting at the table she began observing those around her. As she watched the man from near the bar that she had kissed came upon her again at her table. Kalri was beginning to get a little frustrated. The man smelled like sweat and ale. He put his arm around her and whispered something into her ear.

Mar watched carefully as the man sat beside her, his arm around her shoulders. This situation could escalate into something violent extremely quickly. Moving so he was closer, he nodded to Kalri. 'Be careful. Try not to start too large of a fight."

Kalri grabbed the man by his hand. Quickly ducking and twisting she had the man's hand and arm behind his back as she stood with her boot upon the side of his face against the bench. "I think I said No." she spoke calmly to the man. "Now I suggest you return to your friends and leave me alone." Releasing him, she turned her back on him to walk away.

Mar quickly walked up, putting his hand on the man's shoulder. "Are you alright?" he asked the man in a pleasant tone. "I suggest you do as she says." Mar kept his hand on the man's shoulder, his other clenched in a fist as his side.

Kalri walked from the tavern. She proceeded down the street, glancing over her shoulder to see Mar still behind her. Hungry she made her way to a quiet place to get some food. Entering the establishment, she was taken to a table where she awaited Mar to join her. The tables and chairs were nicely set as the conversations drifted upon the air. Music played soft and slow. As Mar joined her at the table, she looked to him. Hesitantly, she asked him a question that she never dared ask anyone before. "Mar. Would you do something for me? Something I have never had the chance to do before." She waited for a second before continuing. Taking a deep breath, she built her courage to ask. "Would you dance with me?" She listened to the soft, slow music floating softly on the air. She had never danced. Not once. If this was truly to be an adventure, she wanted to do everything, experience everything...just once.

Mar raised an eyebrow at Kalri's question, but he could sense the true emotions in her voice. He truly wanted to dance, to experience life. Mar nodded, standing. "May I have this dance, ma'am?" he asked, extending his hand. Mar led her out onto the dance floor, taking her right hand softly in his left, putting her left over his shoulder, and his right on the small of her back. "Follow my steps," he said quietly, barely a whisper.

Kalri moved gracefully for someone who had never danced with another. Mar was an excellent dancer as she followed his steps, guiding her slowly around the floor. The feelings she felt when she watched others dance, she now felt. Her hand, soft and small in comparison to his, yet he held it gently, softly. The feel of his hand on her back, guiding her. The feeling of trusting another enough to be led in this way was intoxicating. As he held her, she could smell the scent of his skin, feel his warmth. She let herself go, enjoying the feelings and committing them to memory. She moved in closer to him, laying her head upon his chest. She understood now, why people danced. The sensations and feelings of being so close to another were...very pleasant. "Thank you!" she whispered to him, her eyes closed as he lead her on the floor and the music lulled her into a different place and time.

Mar smiled, feeling how happy Kalri was. He lead her around the floor, making slow, barely perceptible turns. He felt strange holding her, her head on his chest. It did not bother him, he only hoped that Galbatorix would not find them like that. "You're very welcome," he whispered into her ear as they continued to dance to the music.
