Nashante sent Mar an evil stare as he unbound her wrists. “Your time shall come my friend. One day you will loose the one you love most. Know this, when you do it will be because of your part in this! I swear it!” She rubbed the skin on her wrists trying to get the blood back into them.
*******************************************
Galbatorix rose from the throne, walking slowly toward Nashante. Bowing her head slightly she looked at him. “Why do you summon me in this way my King?” She was visibly nervous. He had never had her forcibly brought to him before and there was a madness in his eyes the likes of which she had never seen.
Galbatorix took her hand, helping her up from the floor. “Rise Nashante. I have need of something which only you can do.” His words surprised her as they were almost warm and tender. She looked cautiously at him. “My lord, you know I would do anything you ask of me. I have done everything you have ever asked of me.”
Galbatorix stroked the stubble upon his face as he looked at her. She really was quite beautiful. Her hair flowed down her back, long and black. Her eyes, the deepest blue, could bore a hole straight through a man’s soul. She was skilled in the ways of the Seithrs coven of assassins and would one day rule it as High Priestess. He knew this because he knew her well. She sought power and she had the cunning needed to accomplish her goals. ‘She also took in the ancient darkness of the seithrs. She will be a powerful ally.’
He took Nashante by the hand leading her from the throne room to a private room in the restricted section of the castle. She eyed it carefully as she made note of the turns they took to arrive. It seemed to be positioned behind the throne room itself. “I have a matter to discuss with you in private.” He gestured for her to go into the room.
Nashante bowed her head, entering the room. ‘Something is really wrong!’ she thought to herself. Galbatorix followed, shutting the door behind him. His hand lie upon his waist behind his back as he gave a small flick of his fingers and the locks turned in place upon the door.
Making his way to the duvet, he removed his lightweight armor. Nashante stared at him in the lightweight cotton pants and shirt he was in. She had never seen him without his armor. He looked as menacing without it as he did with it on.

Mar locked himself in his new room, laying down on the bed. He took a deep breath, thankful that the headache was gone...at least for now.

From a rather large mansion in the city of Gil'ead, a fair elf-maid with fiery red hair looked out the window, eagerly waiting for her husband to come home. Morzan had been away for longer than he had expected, and the couple was afraid that Galbatorix may have found out their secret. Though the king knew about Gloriana, Morzan had kept from him the fact that she was an elf. If he found out, Galbatorix would surely order her to be brought to Uru'baen and be interrogated about the location of the rest of the elves. Morzan was returning home, though, with a smile on his face. Gloriana felt excitement flutter through her at the sight of him. She couldn't wait to tell him her news. "Well, hello there," Morzan said as he mounted the steps that led to the front door. He pulled her in his arms and gave her a passionate kiss. "Hello yourself," she said after he pulled away. They walked together inside and a servant closed the door behind them. "Anything interesting happen while I was gone?" Morzan asked her, still with his arm around her as they walked to their room. "Well, one thing happened. Something wonderful," an even larger smile crossed her face. "Morzan...you're going to be a father." His jaw dropped to the floor before he could stop it. He worried what might happen if the king found out that he was going to have a child. But he pushed those worried aside right now and a happy smile crossed his face. "That is wonderful," he told her, pulling her in for another kiss. The happy couple sat together, filled with awe at the news. OOC: lol, let's give Marola some past, shall we?

Galbatorix looked at Nashante as she glanced nervously around the room. " I have taken the liberty of having the room made up in the tradition of the seithrs. Is it to your liking?" His eyes were soft though she could still feel the willful determination behind them.
"It is more than adequate Sire." she responded. "Though I fear I will not be able to stay long. I have urgent matters at the coven to attend to." Her voice faltered somwehat as she spoke.
Galbatorix smiled. "I'm sure you do but I have an urgent matter for which I need your...undivided attention. I have spoken with your High Priestess and she assures me that your assignments can wait until our business is concluded." His eyes narrowed as his face grew stern. He tired of this dance. "Nashante, I want an heir, a blood heir and I have chosen you to bare it for me!"
Nashante closed her eyes. There is was said! She turned to look at him trying to fugure out how best to deny his requiest without angering him.
"My Lord. I would be more than willing to receive such an honor but I ... " Galbatorix's eyes flashed with anger as he heard the but. His jaw clenched tightly as he balled his fist, striking her across the cheek sending her reeling onto the bed. "It ws not a request Nashante!"
Her body tensed as her head reeled from his blow. The bruise was already forming on her cheek. She fell onto the bed as he grabbed her, ripping the dress from her. She could feel the life force of the madness within him as she felt the life force of the ancient power she had taken within her awaken. The two revelled together as he took her savagely. 'Hecate what have I done?' The two forces were familiar to each other as they reached out between them, joining in the brutal attack she was under. It felt as if they were lovers, reunited after a long absence across centuries. She closed her eyes as she waited for it to be over.
Galbatorix gave a final grunt then crawled from the bed. Looking back at Nashante he smiled evilly as he replaced his armor. "I will return every night to you until you give me what I desire!" With that, he turned sharply on his heels, and waved his hand at the door walking through it. It slammed loudly behind him and she heard the locks turn. She rolled over on the bed gathering the pillows into her. Her body, bruised and battered, shook as the tears fell from her eyes.

Mar lay in bed, but could not sleep. The noises from the king's bedchamber filled his room. He wished it all to go away, that he wouldn't have to sit there and listen to what he had done. He did not feel regret, or sorrow, at what he had done, only that he had to hear the king take his pleasure with Nashante.

Morzan lay in bed with Gloriana, just watching her. At first he thought she was asleep, but then she opened one eye to look at him. A grin came across her face. "Stop staring at me," she said. "I can't help it. You're just so beautiful." He stroked her face gently and gave her a kiss. "One would think you've never seen an elf woman pregnant with a half-human child before." Her blue-green eyes sparkled as she looked into his black and blue ones. Morzan laughed and embraced his wife, holding her close in the darkness of their room. "Have I told you today just how much I love you, Glory?" he asked her. "Yes, you have. But you may repeat it for as long as you like." "Oh, I plan to," he said, kissing her passionately as he ran his hands up and down her back, pulling her even closer to himself.

Nashante rose slowly from the bed and made her way to the washroom. All of her muscles cried out in agony. She ran the water in the tub and slowly got in though it was difficult. She scrubbed her skin, trying to wash his touch away. The marks upon her wrists bled as she washed at them. The bruises becoming pronounced on her cheek, her arms, her thighs, and others she could feel but could not yet see.
She took the brush, scrubbing the rest of her. She scrubbed over and over trying to get rid of that touch, rid of the pain and the scene in her mind. Her skin became reddened as she scrubbed at it. In her anguish and frustration, she threw the brush with all of her might, sending it crashing into the mirror on the bedroom wall. It fell to the floor with a loud crash as the glass shattered everywhere spraying the fine shards upon the marble floor.
Her feelings overwhelmed her as she allowed herself to be pulled under the water. She prayed to the Goddess to let the water take her, ending her life and her pain. Relief came to her as she felt the water filling her lungs. Slowly she felt the veil of death lying gently over her.

Mar heard a loud crash, jarring him from his boredom. Where ever there was a crash or commotion, there was something for him to do. He smiled at the thought of doing something, until he saw where the crash came from. He reached out his senses into the room, feeling for the king or Nashante. He felt Nashante, though it was faint. He realized what she was doing, pounding into the room. He found her in the tub, half drowned. He pulled her out, laying her on her stomach as he rubbed her back to get the water out of her lungs.

Nashante felt as the pressure Mar exerted upon her back forced the water from her lungs. The water expelled from her mouth as she began coughing. She quickly jerked herself away from him, curling herself into a ball in the corner of the washroom. Her naked form shook as she looked at him. "Why did you do that? Why couldn't you just let me die?" The tears streamed down her face as the pain wracked her body. She was beaten and battered. Her dignity and worth shattered like the mirror laying upon the floor in the bedroom.

"Because I have to," he said, throwing her a towel and walking out of the room.

Nashante caught the towel and stood after he left the washroom, drying herself off. She removed a robe hanging from a hook on the wall and wrapped it around her. She walked into the bedroom, not looking at the bed. She went to sit in a chair in front of the fireplace. She sat, watching the flames. He stopped her this time but there would be more opportunities.

Mar shut the room door behind him. Pulling a chair from just down the hall, he sat in it near the door. He leaned his head back against the stone wall. 'This is going to be a long assignment,' he thought, closing his eyes.

Morzan was asleep and Gloriana was trying to relax and let her awaking dreams take her. It was not coming easily tonight for some reason. Once she did fall into the dream-state, it was plagued by a terrible nightmare. She was in childbirth. Birthpains were wracking her body and she was fighting for breath. A midwife was calmly telling her what to do. It seemed to last for an eternity. Finally a soft cry was heard and the pain was over. Gloriana fell back against the pillows, exhausted. She looked over at Morzan, who was proudly holding the infant girl. "Morzan...don't tell her about me," she heard herself say. She heard Morzan give a sudden anguished cry and a darkness consumed her.

True to his word Galbatorix came to Nashante every night for the next month. Eventually she gave in and quit fighting the inevitable. She was kept in her room, not allowed to go out into the castle or castle grounds. Her skin paled from the lack of sunlight. She was brought meals and received medical care in her room.
The midwife went before Galbatorix as he sat upon his throne. His mood apprehensive. "Well? Is she with child?" The midwife looked nervously at him, never having been in the presence of the King. "Yes sire, she is with child." She bowed her head to him. "Excellent." Galbatorix smile crossed upon his lips as his plan was being realized. "Sire," she called him back into the present. "The woman will need time outside and exercise if the child is to be healthy."
"Yes. Yes. I will take care of it. That will be all and for your sake...remember your oath and speak not of this to anyone!" The black magic writhed around his fingers as he spoke, he eyes dark and cold. "Yes sire." The woman bowed and left. Galbatorix clasped his hands, leaning his head against them, his elbows planted firmly upon his knees.
He summoned a guard to bring Mar to him. He had new orders for the assassin. His duty now lie to the unborn child.

Mar left his room when the guard came for him, taking his armor and weapons as he always did. He entered the throne room to see the king in unusually good spirits. He knew that Nashante must then be with child, why else would he be happy? "Sire," he said, bowing to the king. "You called to me?"
