Eridor and Elaine both spotted the maroon colored dragon flying towards Abernon. Their thoughts were completely in sync, and soon Eridor was gliding towards the new dragon, whom neither ne nor Elaine had ever heard of before. See. A good thing I kept us in the sky. We may be stopping a potential enemy. Rolling her eyes, Elaine shook her head and sighed, acknowledging that the steely gray dragon was right.
Well, we should alert the others that a new dragon approaches. Opening his jaws, Eridor released a long, hollow roar, a warning for the approaching dragon not to attack, and an alert for the varden below.

Heindall heard the warning and mentally called to Crym. Come my eternal friend and let us find what is happening.I am already on my way, look to you right, said Crym.Sure enough he saw his dragon coming so he jumped straight up onto her leg and climbed up. He quickly gained distance until he saw a maroon dragon. I think its time to have a little fun, said Hiendall.

A roar rang out.
"It appears we've been spotted, Tomas."
"True."
"Well, what do we do?"
"We'll see how they act first."

Eridor drew within shouting range of the unidentified dragon and came to a hover, flaring his wings wide. The sun struggled to shine through his dark wings, casting shadows upon those below. Upon his back, Elaine raised her voice and called to the other rider, "Hail, argetlam! State your position and name immediately!"

Jeriah heard Eridor's alarm and left in a hurry to see what was happening. Oranthor landed nearby.
"Hey, Oranthor! What's happening up there?" she asked.
Elaine and Eridor have spotted a maroon dragon and Rider that we have not seen around here before, he explained, They could be Empire. Jeriah was about to get on Oranthor's back to see it when she suddenly felt a familiar presence, one that always made her recoil. She turned and saw the girl Elva walking toward her.
"Yes, Elva? What's about to happen."
"Don't go up," the girl said in her cynical voice, calmly and collectedly, "Neither of you. If you do, you will place your friends in great danger." Elva's violet eyes seemed to bore into her, the intensity of her request showing in them. Jeriah looked to Oranthor. They watched each other for a few minutes, then looked back and the cursed child.
"All right. We won't go up." Elva gave no sense of relief, but instead left to find Heindall and Crym.

Tomas watched as a gray dragon flew in front of them and demanded their names. He looked around and saw a purple also closing and two more dragons on the ground.
"We may have been too hasty, Zephyr."
"Truly."
"Lets get out of here."
Zephyr sped over the area where the two dragons were on the ground and Tomas turned to see if anybody followed them.

When no answer was forthcoming, Elaine reached into the pool of energy within her, prepared to use magic. She could feel Eridor inhaling, ready to breathe his fire. However, the strange rider and dragon suddenly fled, flying away from Abernon. Should we persue? Clearly they must be empire! she asked of Eridor.
The gray dragon watched the maroon one with his steely eyes. Yes. We will follow them and be sure they leave Surda. Pumping his wings, Eridor exited the hover he had been in and began trailing the empire rider and dragon.

Creel ran through the Varden camp, having already contacted Ciraph, who had heard the alert from where he'd been hunting.
He ran over to near where the unfamiliar dragon and his rider were, and stopped, looking up at them.
Helpless without Ciraph to help him take to the skies, Creel stood there and watched as a steel gray dragon and his rider approached the newcomer....

Elyria and Domia were returning from the Spine as they heard Eridors call. "Domia get moving on the double. Get us close!" The mighty emerald dragon let out his own mighty roar to alert Eridor and Elaine as well as the others of their return.
Elyria pulled her sword to make ready for the threat of the alert. She looked below and picked Jeriah out of a group of people quickly. She reached out to her friend 'Jeriah what is the alarm? Domia and I approach from the West.' She watched intently as she spotted the maroon dragon and its rider in retreat.
'Shall we follow?' Domia questioned. 'No make your way to those gathered below. We don't even know what the commotion was and saw no attack.'
'Very well Elyria.' Domia headed to a clear area close to those on the ground. He landed softly causing a gentle cloud of dust to rise. Elyria slid from his back, sheathing her sword as she moved to the others.

Hiendall noticed the rider was running away and thought it not worth his time. Crym please drop us down.Crym was already in a dive since she knew what he was going to say before hand. He landed and was surprised to see Elva waiting for him. "Hello Elva" ,he said cheerily since he knew what it was like to be feared for difference.

Elva stared at Hiendall, then at Crym.
"Hello, Hiendall," she said, her voice mocking his cheerfullness, "I just thought you might like to know that unless you go into the city of Aberon and protect Nasuada, she will be killed by an assassin in twenty minutes while everyone is distracted by this enemy Rider." With that, she turned around and headed back to Nasuada's side, glancing back.
"So are you coming?" she asked.
