"Tomas, you've irritated her enough. Get it over with." "Why, Zephyr, it is always fun to irritate people, but you're probably right. She is going to have a hard time with magic now. Attack her, but no killing, the king might have plans for her." Zephyr roared and closed the small distance between the two of them.

Lunging forward, Eridor released an inferno of crackling fire at the enemy, trying to buy time for Elaine to place wards. She uttered the incantations quickly, having said them many times before. When finished, the drain on her energy was noticable, but not incapacitating. She and Eridor exchanged some final words, and then they both blocked their minds. Eridor snapped his jaws shut, ending the stream of flame. He then pumped his wings down, gaining alltitude for the fight.

Hiendall turned from Crym and faced Nasuada." Are you sure, he is an assassinsent to kill you not a regular person.""He must have been trusted enough to go after you with Empire information in his head.""If you allow me I could easily break his mind to my will and find out anything I please."

Elyria frowned at Creel's words. "No that's not good at all. I hadn't seen any Empire riders this close to the palace before." She looked at Creel as she thought about the implications of the news. 'Why is the Empire so close and why only one Rider?' she thought to herself.
She looked back at Creel. "Where has everyone else gone?" she asked. She was sure with the threat of the rider that more would have answered Eridor's call.

"Well, we could always give chase and help Eridor and his Rider. I doubt anyone but Galbatorix himself would be able to prevail against three Riders."....

"I think that may be a good idea." She looked at Domia. "What do you think Dom? Wanna go after some Empire filth?"

Ciraph, are you ready to take flight? Creel asked his partner. Always, my friend, the dragon responded. "Meet you in the air, Elyria Shur'tugal?" Creel said, dashing over to Ciraph and leaping into his saddle. As the White Sun dragon unfurled his wings and pumped them, lifting himself into the air. A strong wind and powerful dust devils built up around where he was taking off. Wait for Elyria and Domia, Creel said,It'd be better if we both arrive there at the same time. But if we don't, then we'll have the element of surprise, Ciraph said,I'll let Elyria know. Creel reached out with his mind toward where he knew Elyria was. He felt her mind, and tried to speak to her. Ciraph and I are going to go ahead. You and Domia should remain behind us for a short while to make the enemy Rider and dragon think there's only one dragon and Rider coming......

Elyria acknowledge Creel as he touched her mind. She ran toward Domia as he stuck out his foreleg for her. She leapt to it and he tossed her gently into the air. She landed within the saddle and he smoothly took off. She followed Creel and Ciraph at a distance. The smile widened on her face as she once again felt the wind of flight against her skin.

Creel and Ciraph flew through the air, the exhilaration of flying and the anticipation of a coming fight coursing through them both. Have I ever told you I love flying with you, buddy? Creel asked Ciraph. Many times over. the white dragon replied. And I'll say it until the day I die. Creel said, taking in a deep breath before drawing Garjzla and muttering "Brisingr", the blade turning to flames as he did so, the spell draining his strength very noticeably, which he replaced with energy from the jewel in the sword's pommel. In the distance, not all that far away, were the visible forms of the dragon Eridor and his Rider, as well as that of the enemy Rider. The two of them appeared locked in combat already. We must hurry, Cir', Creel told Ciraph. I know, the dragon said, flapping his wings harder to gain more speed.....

OOC: Scorpion, you did a bit of god moding in that post. You cannot actually land a blow on another character. Rather, you hint at what you want to acheive, so you could write something like, "Zepyhr snapped at Eridor' tail, trying to bite into it". Also, you can't say what emotions another character might be having. Elaine is actually not afraid. So, just keep those things in mind. IC: Clamping his wings to his sides, Eridor rolled to the left, avoiding his foe's reaching maw by inches. Flaring his wings, he stopped his rolling and came at Zepyhr's side with his talons. Reaching out, Elaine lunged with her sword towards the rider's shoulder. As she did so, she felt the prying of another mind. The presence was not familiar, and she strengthened her barriers, as did Eridor. A brief flash of brilliant white caught her attention, and she glanced quickly over her shoulder to find the white dragon and his rider approaching. Two emotions filled her. One was gratitude. The empire rider would be easy to take down with another varden at her side. The other was anger. Did he think she could not take down this menace herself? The second emotion cause her some guilt, and Elaine abolished the feeling, building on her gratitude. After all, she and Eridor would do the same.

ooc: you know, I wonder why everyone on all the forums other than BZP call controlling another player's character g-modding....on BZP(where I first started RPing), we always called it controlling another player's character.....there really was no term for it. XD lol. just curious, is all. lol.
Ciraph wheeled through the sky, climbing higher so as to be able to gain altitude on the Imperial Rider. He hailed the other Varden Rider as he did so.
At first, she, and he was fairly certain it was a female rider at this point, closed her mind off to him.
Fine, he thought to himself,I don't need to talk to you to help you. I'm ready when you are, Cir'. Hold on, the white dragon said, folding his immense wings to his body and diving steeply toward the Imperial rider, claws ready to rip his wings to shreds.....

Zepyhr snapped at the gray dragon's tail, trying to bite into it, but he missed by inches. He blocked her blow and glanced around as he too saw the white glow. Get us clear, there is another dragon here. Working on it. Zephyr somehow evaded the other dragons and got clear. Tomas glanced back at the other dragon riders. "Enjoy." He whispered some words in ancient language and there was flash of light.

Eridor's continuous growls rolled from his chest like boulders falling down a cliff. Elaine felt the vibration of his voisterous challenges through the saddle, and she clenched her teeth to keep them from rattling together. No matter how she, or Eridor, attacked their opponent, he managed to evade them. Astonishingly, the empire dragon avoided the "White Sun" as well. Standing in the saddle, Elaine lunged with her sword, trying for one last stab at the man. Before she could complete her manuever, the man uttered something in the ancient language, and a brilliant light, as blinding as Ciraph in the sun, caused her to look away. Eridor roared in fury and pain, and he twisted in a spiral loop, trying to bring himself away from the harsh, piercing light. ~~~~
Heindall's offer was tempting, but would it be the right thing to do? Yes. This man was an assassin for the empire, he deserved nothing less. He would be a lesson to all others who attempted anything similar. "Fine, Heindall. Do as you must. We need answers." She cast Elva an apologetic glance. This would only cause the poor, cursed girl more discomfort.

Zephyr landed and Tomas glanced towards the city. What a fiasco that was. Good thing you're an excellent flyer. It helps at times. What are you going to do? I'm going into Aberon tonight to see if this mercenary is here. Zephyr sighed, Very well. Tomas looked one last time at the city and then went to sleep.
