Hiendall smiled and said,"I'll be gentle." He took the assassin again and walked farther into the tent.He set him down and Hiendall sat down in front of him.He reached into the assassin's mind which was guarded strongly even if he was hurt.Hiendall rammed into his barriers again and again with powerful mind blast and the assassin shrieked when his defense broke.Hiendall searched his mind and snapped angrily."Lady Nasuada his mind is almost wiped of vital info all i can gather is he was sent here to die but try to kill you or someone else before or as he died. Also that something might be happening in the Empire."

Dissapointment surged across Nasuada. Why couldn't the assassin have some important piece of information. Was that too much to ask? No rest for the weary. she thought bitterly. "Thank you, Heindall, for all your help. Now, what to do with this man." To hang him would be the expected course of action, but what a waste of life. Then again, apparently he had been sent to die, and what use would it be to keep him alive? Frowning, Nasuada clasped her hands before her as she pondered his fate. ~~~~~
Eridor landed heavily on the outskirts of Abernon, sides heaving from frustration. Elaine, equally annoyed, sat hunched in the saddle, blinking rapidly. "What sort of trickery was that!" she exclaimed. "That rider nearly blinded us!" Eridor released a low growl. Next time, he will not escape so easily. I will catch him in my teeth and talons before he can wriggle away! Sighing, Elaine looked into the sky, searching for some hint of the enemy rider. If he was around, she knew not where. She could see the wink of the White Sun's scales in the distance.

"I say we do the unexpected course.I gathered something was happening in the Empire and if it will help us I will go and find out.The assassin should be kept in custody in case the memory loss is short term and he will gain more knowledge for or use."

Ciraph let out a roar of pain as the light blinded him. He began to fly around wildly. My eyes! They're burning!!!! his voice screamed within Creel's mind. Ciraph! Settle down! Creel told him, hanging on for dear life,You're going to throw me off! Ciraph apparently didn't hear him. He continued thrashing around in the air, flying wildly. He had been looking straight at the light when it had appeared, and now his eyes were burning from the brightness of it. As he continued thrashing, Creel felt his grip on the saddle slipping. He tried once again to talk Ciraph into settling down, but it didn't help any. The last thing he remembered before he fell was thinking this was a sad end to his life.....

Elva sat on the floor of Nasuada's pavillion, fighting desprately against her magic. There was so much suffering going on, she could barely hold herself back from trying to save them all. It would be such a relief just to let it take over. But, no. She couldn't. At the moment, she was sensing Creel and Ciraph's discomfort and knew that they were going to be in pain soon, but they would not die. Still, she felt like smacking the dragon for panicking like he was. She was also sensing the discomfort of the assassin who had lost his memory. His mind had been broken into, and he was frightened. She had to keep herself from going out there and saying something to him. She also sensed the Rider, Jeriah was in great fear of something, but she couldn't tell what. And she felt the absolutely chaotic presence of River nearby...though she seemed to be at one of her calm moments. It wouldn't last long, though. All the effort to keep from rushing to everyone's help was taking its toll on the child. She began throwing up all over the floor of Nasuada's pavillion. ~~~~~ Jeriah had been walking through the camp, staying on the ground because of Elva's earlier warning. She suddenly stiffened as she felt a familiar presence nearby. Oranthor was at her side in an instant. This is very brave of him, she thought through her fear, To march right into the Varden's encampment to try to get me? He's taking advantage of the distraction, Oranthor put in. He let out a menacing growl, his huge muscles bulging as he kneaded the ground with expectation. "Kyrron, I know you're there. And I am not going with you. Haven't I made it clear that I have chosen a side now?" Jeriah was confused at the man's continued efforts. "It doesn't matter," Kyrron declared, coming out of his hiding, one of his many daggers in his hand, "I'm going to take you to Galbatorix, even if I have to drag you there by your hair." I'd like to see him try, Oranthor said, letting out a jet of flame toward him. Kyrron stopped and stared the two of them down, his blue and green eyes gleaming malicously. ~~~~~ River shook from the fear emanating from all the people nearby. She would have started to cry out, had Kaylee not come at that exact moment. "River, Simon is looking for you," Kaylee told her, taking her hand. "Come on, let's go inside. It ain't safe out here." "Safe..." River murmured, "Safe for us, but what about everyone else?" Still, she consented to going inside. Kaylee always had a calming effect on her.

.Little one the little big one is going threw something.Hiendall turned to see Elva throwing up. He thought this was because of the pain she feels from other people but then thought she deals with this every day and only a big part of pain and fear could do this."Elva is their something wrong?"

Once her stomach was emptied, Elva looked up at Hiendall and gave a laugh of bitter amusment. "What's wrong? Everything's wrong. I'm being driven at the very moment to help everyone outside and in because they're either dying or about to be harmed. And you ask me what's wrong?" She coughed a little and leaned forward to puke again, but nothing came up. She leaned back, weak from her exertions. Then she sat back and glanced at Nasuada. "Is there any food around here?"

Tomas examined the minds around him. There was no mention of a mercenary anywhere. He sighed and glanced around. The Varden camp was very chaotic. He heard angry voices to his left and a dragon's growl. He turned in that direction and took in the scene. Be careful, Tomas. The orange dragon shot flames at a man standing in front of the dragon and a girl and they stared at each other.

Jeriah noticed a marroon dragon nearby, and, not recognizing it, concluded that he and his Rider were the ones who had appeared to be hostile to the Varden. Her eyes flicked up towards them for an instant before returning to Kyrron. "It would be of intrest to me to see how you would accomplish getting me to Galbatorix, for as you can see, Oranthor is no longer a hatchling and is quite capable of protecting me." Kyrron's dual colored eyes narrowed at her. "I would find some way. I do not doubt your dragon would follow you if I brought you with me." "Ah, but how would you get to me in the first place? Now that is the question." Jeriah crossed her arms and returned his stare. "I will find a way," Kyrron stated. All he needed to do was find some way to get her away from that dragon for a minute, then he could get her. I will get her to Galbatorix, no matter what.

"Elva I have always respected you for the burden you carry and I know you know something is going to happen or you wouldn't be throwing up. You are use to the pain of people but only when something big happens your body can't handle it like now."

Elva stared at Heindall with her haunting violet eyes. An amused smile played at her face. "So you think you know what I go through? Every day? Every hour, every minute? You have no idea. Every time I close my eyes, I see people injuring themselves, usually because they did something stupid. I hear their screams and their groans of pain, hours before they're even uttered. It could just be one big thing I'm feeling, true, but it could also be hundreds of stupid things, all of which I'm being driven to help. Can you look me in the eyes and tell me you truly understand what I am going through? Can you?" The edge that was always in her voice grew even harder as she stared at the Rider who thought he knew everything.

At the same moment, Elaine and Eridor watched as Ciraph, in his wild flight, threw off Creel. Within a second, Eridor was in the sky, his wings flapping furiously as he tried to reach the plummeting elf. He roared to announced his arrival, and to hopefully give Cirpah some sort of focal point. Flaring his wings, Eridor slowed his flight, coming beneath Creel. "Rider!" Elaine shouted, "We've got you!" Roaring again, Eridor tried to contact the White Sun. To me! he shouted, Oriente yourself to my voice! He released another ringing roar. ~~~~
Closing her eyes, Nasuada shut out the sight of Elva's affliction. When the cursed girl began speaking, she opened her eyes, being careful to not look at the floor. "I am sorry, Elva." She then addressed one of her nighthawks. "Go get her some food, quickly!" Bowing, the man departed through the pavilion entrance. She then looked to Hiendall. "You have a good plan. I will keep him alive until the mission is complete. I do not want you going alone, however. If you died, and the varden lost a rider," she fell silent, shaking her head in contempt of the very idea. "Two of my nighthawks shall go with you." Seeing that one of her guards was about to protest, she said, "we have enough to spare, admiral." The man frowned, but remained silent.

Hiendall shook his head when Elva grew irritated with him and whispered to himself,"Perhaps she isn't deserving of respect or any friendship if she will treat any who give her a chance this way." Hiendall I think you should tell Nasuada she can't have these Nighthawks come with us no matter what."Nasuada I appreciate your offer but it will only handicap me to have your men along.Crym is a very big dragon but extra weight as in humans and supplies will slow her down. Also you don't want to lose me but if I am going to die it would be to late for them."
