Jeriah called for Oranthor. "Elyria wants to go see our friend," she said, giving a mischievous smile at her mention of the Crystal. Then she turned to Elyria. "Call Domia. We are going up a ways."

'Domia? Wanna take a trip? Come get me quick!' Domia flew to where Elyria was. Turning into a steep dive, he pulled up just above her and grabbed her outstretched hand in his might talon, throwing her high into the air. Turning he aligned under her fall and she landed in the saddle. Smiling she turned to Jeriah. "Well what are you waiting for?"

Jeriah hopped on Oranthor's back and smiled at Elyria. "Absolutey nothing," she said, then Oranthor took to the sky and flew over the abandoned city. Higher and higher they flew, knowing exactly where they were going. After a few minutes of flying, Jeriah saw the Crystal again. Huge and glowing brightly, it seemed to radiate joy at seeing them again. At the same time, it felt solemn and old and wise. A pure bundle of magic. Jeriah again felt awed by it. Welcome, children, it said upon their arrival.

Elyria looked in awe of the crystal. It was powerful. 'There is ancient wisdom here Elyria.' Domia told her. "Jeriah? It speaks. What is this?"

Jeriah did not turn to Elyria, but said, "I can't decribe it in words. It is magic, that is it." The Crystal glowed even brighter. Jeriah could tell it was speaking to Elyria, and didn't intrude. Whenever it spoke, the Crystal was speaking on a profoundly personal level. OOC: you can figure out what message you want it to give you. lol.

Elyria listened intently to the crystal. It seemed to be telling her off a prophecy. "Two shall be born into this world. One of light, one of dark, each balancing the other as the sun and moon. Together they will have the power to overcome the evil in Alagaesia and with her people free her from its' grasp. They also hold the power to destroy her if they are to fall into the hands of Galbatorix." With that the crystal stopped talking to her. Elyria looked to Jeriah, a confused look upon her face. She quickly flew back to the camp to think on the words the crystal had spoken to her. Dismounting Domia, she sat under the shade of a large tree.

Taran waited impatiently for the two women to return, but he knew he could do nothing to find them, nor to harm the raiders.

Elyria made way back to Taran. "Jeriah is still with the crystal. Taran it speaks." She was still a little freaked out by what the crystal had said to her.

Taran looked at Elyria as she came back. "What crystal? What are you talking about?" he asked, confusion on his face.

"Jeriah. She found a magic crystal and took me high above to see it. It floats in the sky and talks to those who seek it." She couldn't believe she was saying this. She sounded like she lost her flippin mind.

Taran looked at her, his head tilted to one side. "Are you okay?" he asked, taking a few steps toward her.

Elyria shook her head not sure how to answer that. "I think it told me a prophesy. She recounted the prophesy as she heard it "Two shall be born into this world. One of light, one of dark, each balancing the other as the sun and moon. Together they will have the power to overcome the evil in Alagaesia and with her people free her from its' grasp. They also hold the power to destroy her if they are to fall into the hands of Galbatorix." I don't know what to make of it."

Jeriah and Oranthor landed in a large clearing of the island, glad for having had more time with the Crystal. It did not speak to her this time, but she was simply glad to have been in the presence of so magical an object. Elyria and Domia left in a hurry. I wonder what he told her, Jeriah told Oranthor. I don't know, but I do not believe it is our place to inquire, the orange dragon answered.

Taran listened attentively. There had been folk tales about such things, but he had never heard of one actually existing. "I see," he said, walking in circles. "This does not have to mean a proffesy, something in the future. It may have happened, and you could be instrumental in it, maybe even be one of the two."

She looked at him confused. "I guess that is true. I know nothing of my birth but I just don't know. I don't put much stock in dreams or prophesy."
