OCC: haha! funny! lol Taran looked at his chest, and saw the Geway Insignia there like a tattoo. "I...I don't know, Jeriah. This is more foreign to me than you," he said weakly.

Jeriah looked at the dragon, who was crawling about on the ground in obvious curioustiy of the place. She looked back at Taran. "Here, let me see your hands," she said.

Taran gave her his hands, but brought them back to himself before se could touch them. He looked cautiously as his little dragon playing on the ground. "Why? What are you going to do?" Taran asked her, waiting for an explanation before agreeing to anything.

"I just want to look at them," she said, raising her left hand and showing him her Gedwey Ignasia. "All Riders have this, the shining palm. Through it, they channel their magic. That's what Lath-that's what a friend told me. I want to see if you have it on your hand, or if it's on you chest,' she explained, nearly choking when she almost mentioned Lathem's name. She recovered and knelt by Taran, reaching out for his hand.

Taran extended his hands to her, though he saw there was no mark on either of them.

She smiled. "Well," she said, "It seems you don't have it on your hands. I wonder how that works. I don't think anyone has ever had this happen before." She held his hand for a few moments more, then let go quickly, blushing as she realized what she was doing. To distract herself, she turned to the tiny new dragon. "What is his name?" she asked him.

Taran was still in a daze as Jeriah asked the dragon's name. "Adurthil," he said slowly, still unsure if it was a dream or reality. Standing, he realized he could not return to his crew as he was. With no shirt, they would see his mark and no doubt try to seize him, and he would not dare take the dragon to them.

Jeriah smiled at Andurthil, then at Taran, then back again. Taran had a troubled expression on his face, but she barely noticed. Oranthor! Wake up and come here! She sent him a picture of where she was, then told Taran to come outside with her. She wanted to introduce Oranthor to Andurthil.

Taran picked up Adurthil, then followed Jeriah outside, still worried.

Jeriah led the new Rider and his dragon outside to where Oranthor was waiting. She lightly touched the mind of the infant dragon. "Oranthor, this is Andurthil. He just hatched for Taran." She waited to see the two dragon's responses. OOC: Taran! Make a proper post this time! Not just one sentence. Make it at least a paragraph! You are annoying me to the point of much anger! lol

OCC: haha. if i must, master. lol Taran emerged from the tower, shielding his eyes from the now risen sun. Setting down Adurthil, he watched as the two dragons interacted. A smile played across his lips as he watched, not feeling the need to move on. He turned to Jeriah. "I think this is why I haven't found a place that I liked to stay in for more than a few days. Fate has been calling to me, bringing me here, to find my companion for life."

Jeriah nodded and smiled. "Wyrda brought you here, Taran. Now you may find that it doesn't matter if you stay in one place longer than a few days, as long as you have Andurthil by your side." She watched as the baby dragon flew up and landed on Oranthor's snout, staring him in the eye. Well met, little brother, said Oranthor.

Taran watched as his new friend and companion flew atop the other dragon's back. He smiled as he walked over to stare his dragon in the eyes, those deep green eyes. 'They're the same color as my own!' he thought.

Jeriah watched Andurthil as he climb over Oranthor, then looked at her own dragon. Do you remember those days, old friend? she asked him. Aye, that I do, small one. He turned an looked at the tiny dragon crawling on his back, noticing his deep green eyes, contrasting his teal scales. Meh, he would look better orange, he said, jokingly. OOC: lol, I just had to put that in, Taran. Orange rocks! *proves point by taking out a teal popcicle and eating it*

OOC: ha ha ha! very funny. lol. it actually is. *eats orange popsicle*
Taran enjoyed watching Adurthil run around the back of Oranthor, bringing joy into his life. 'Truly,' he thought. 'This is a magical place.' As he watched his new friend, Taran heard the distinct sound of the ship's horn. Climbing the tower with speed known only to elves, Taran looked out the window to see his ship attacked by a much larger vessel. Within seconds, his ship was scuttled beneath the waves, the shore party fleeing across the island as the raiders landed. "We must hide, and quickly!" Taran shouted to Jeriah. "No time to explain. Get on Oranthor, he will take care of you." Taran whistled to Adurthil. 'You know, rider, I can be talked to. No need to whistle as if I'm nothing but a simple horse. Follow me, I know where we will be safe.' Taran looked ashamed, but followed his dragon.
