Taran stared at the raiders before him, something about them seeming similar. Standing up, Taran walked up to one of them, then slapped him with the back of his hand, making blood appear at the corners of his mouth. "You lied to me, you filthy pig!" he shouted. "You aren't a merchant! How dare you! What were we transporting for you, huh? Weapons? Liquor? Huh? Speak to me you little devil!" Taran raised his hand, but did not strike as the man recoiled. "Fine! You want the truth? No, I'm not a merchant, I'm a smuggler and brigand! I couldn't get the supplies in myself, so I had you take them through the check point. Now that you're through, I didn't need you anymore." Taran grew even more furious. "So, we were just expendable crew? A means to an end? Where were those supplies destined anyways?" The man said nothing, made no expression, only stared at the ground before him. Exasperated, Taran turned to leave again, needing to calm himself. "The Varden."

Jeriah was shocked when Taran backhanded one of the raiders. She ran forward and, as Taran walked a little ways away, she knelt before the man. "You know, you really should learn to control yourself more," she said to Taran as she healed the man of his cut lip. She turned to face Taran. "If you continue to act this way, I will have you and all the men here tied down to keep you from killing each other." She heard the raider mention that he was transporting supplies to the Varden, but she knew little of the significance of it. She focused her attention on Taran, waiting for his response.

Taran could not understand why he was so frustrated, so furious. He looked at Jeriah, then at Oranthor, softening his expression. Taking a deep breath, he looked up at the treetops. 'Oranthor, please, can you help me? I do not know what to say to her.'

Oranthor stared at Taran with large amber eyes. She simply does not understand why you do such things. Frustration is a rare experience for her. Just apologize to the man you struck and let your frustration go. That will be enough for her. OOC: MWAHAHAHA! You have to *gasp* apologize! lol!

Taran stared at the great dragon, letting his jaw drop a small bit. 'You have got to be kidding! Apologize? To that? That thing killed most of my crew, over a few shipments! Why should I apologize? He should apologize to me...uhg...if I must then.' Taran walked over to the man he struck, standing directly over him. "I'm...sorry. I should not have lost my temper....but you are still a filthy dog!" Taran shouted, turning on his heal to stand beside Adurthil.

Oranthor growled. Jeriah shook her head, amazed by Taran's "apology." Well, that's that, she thought. "Well, now that that's settled, I think it's high time for some breakfast. Taran, can you go get some food? I'm starving."

Taran gratefully walked away, going to get food, allowing him to calm himself.

Jeriah waited quietly until Taran returned.

OOC: Making me do all the work then eh? lol
Taran gathered berries and fruit, then returned to Jeriah.

OOC: don't ya know it! lol! Berries? That's all for breakfast? lol Jeriah smiled at Taran as he returned. "There you are. I was starting to wonder about you." She looked at the fruit in his hands. "This will be wonderful, thank you for gathering this." She sat down by a nearby stream and washed the food. Then she handed some to the raiders who were there, then ate some herself.

Taran stared at the raiders, then sat with his feet in the stream, hunger gone from him. Adurthil sat beside him, both watching the water pass them by, flowing through the world like time itself.

Elyria flew atop Domia high above the island but the battle was over before they had time to react. 'Domia take us down. We'll scout for survivors.' 'Aye little one.' the emerald green dragon answered. He landed smoothly on the sandy beach as Elyria slid from his back. "Looks like a landing party made their way in that direction. Let's have a look shall we." Domia followed her as she tracked the party not knowing what they were walking into.

Taran felt another presence nearby, though he could not tell exactly what it was. Quickly rising to his feet and drawing his sword, Taran ran into the woods. Walking with a quiet only elves could master, he wound his way to flank the new presence. Waiting, watching, Taran followed the woman as she approached the gathering.

Jeriah saw Taran move away suddenly without saying anything. What's he up to now, I wonder. Little did she realize who and what was headed their way.

Elyria tracked the group from the beach into woods. Sword in hand she stepped stealthily. She could feel the presence of others. 'Domia. Hang back. We have company!' 'I am here when you need me.'
She stepped out to where she felt the presence. There were several.
