"Yeah your right. Whats up with your horse he looks mad at you." said nerefon who smiled but it soon faded.
She knew a few things but not that it mattered but it seemed like the horse was trying to talk in some way. Nerefon didn't hear about horses talking like dragons could but she knew that horses weren't completely stupid either.

Taran returned the stern gaze. 'Relax, Narth. I'm just talking to her. You're still my favorite, you know? And it doesn't mean I suddenly like riders.' Taran turned his attention back to Nerasa. "Oh, don't mind him. He just gets angry easily. Mostly cause he gets jealous of me talking to others. And...he doesn't really like dragon's or their riders." Taran smiled weakly.

"So he is the jelouse type huh? Well if I were him I would be too, if I were in his position. Well not all dragon and dragon riders are that bad. Look at me for example I wouldn't hurt him if my life depended on it. Well he shouldn't be jelouse I just like you as a friend and thats it." said nerasa.
'I do too. along with the horse and I wouldn't harm him either.' said marflamel.
'I will repeat what you said.' said nerasa.
"Maflamel said 'I do too. Along with the horse and I wouldn't harm him either.' He likes you too." she repeated.

Taran smiled. "Thanks. That's what I told him, but he is a stubborn one. Maybe now he'll listen to me," Taran directed the last words more at Narth than Nerasa. "And I would be a little unsettled if you liked me any more than that having only met a few hours ago." He laughed, finally having a moment of comfort in many days.

Edoc'sil had settled in for a gingerly little cat nap under the light of the full moon. On the other side of the dune there was a small oasis with a standing body of water. The moonlight shimmered on it as if it were dancing among the stars. Aethelwyne slowly made her way down to the water. This night was one of her coven's sacred sabats and she must perform the Drawing down the Moon ritual in its honor. Taking off her gown, she slipped slowly into the water to purify herself before the ritual as was their custom. As she bathed she sang to the moon. Her voice was soft and the melody carried out softly across the night breeze. She ascended back out of the water and let the cool night air dry her form. Though the night was chilly, she was not cold. She placed her ceremonial gown on. It flowed in the breeze of the night. Her long white hair laying against her skin on the low cut back of the gown. The tatoo of the assassin coven on the small of her back just peeking out from the gown. She proceeded to chant in the siethrs tongue as she focused on each direction around her waving her hands from the center of her body, up toward the sky then out away from her. This was known as speaking to the corners. The witches did this to sanctify the space in which they worshipped. Next she chanted the incantation. The ceremony was used to draw the cosmic power of the moon into them and strengthen them. As she finished she felt as if someone was near. Edoc'sil awakened. 'No Doc. It's okay. There's no danger. Stay put.'

Taran had heard a soft chanting in the air. Unsheathing his sword, he walked off into the night after the music, not telling Nerasa why, only saying to stay put until he returned. He quietly made his way through the dunes, never revealing his presence to anyone who may be watching, though he could do nothing to cloak his presence from magic. He came to a rather large dune, hearing the chanting coming from the other side. Cautiously, he reached out with his mind, searching the area to see just how many beings lay on the other side. There were only two presences that he could sense, the smaller of the two no doubt coming from the chanter. The larger one felt similar to the dragons back at camp. 'Another dragon and rider. Why, isn't this just my luck,' he thought to himself. He walked from behind the dune on the far side from the dragon. Near the oasis, a beautiful woman with long white hair dressed in a flowing gown chanted to the skies. He as she turned to face in different directions, Taran caught a glimpse of a small tatoo on the small of her back. He only saw a small portion, but he knew what it was. 'An assassin. What is she doing here?' He noticed the dragon watching him, but not moving from its spot. The woman turned to look at him, beautiful in the moonlight with her white hair and gown.

"You are from the camp. I saw your group earlier. Tell me what is an elf doing with a group of riders? I sense that you are not all that excited about being among riders. What hails you here?" She made no advancement toward the elf nor did she attempt to get closer to her sword. She felt no ill will directed toward her. "I see you have met Edoc'sil. You have nothing to fear from him unless you are a threat to me. I told him you're not. Am I wrong?"

Taran was still apprehensive about the strange group. The woman had not made a move to attack him, not reach for her weapons, and the dragon only stared. He lowered his sword, though kept it tightly in his grip. "I do not mean to cause you harm. I was only investigating the chanting that I heard. And my issues with riders are my own. You need not concern yourself with them. I noticed your tattoo of the assassin coven. I only hope you are not here on business. If you are not on commission, then I believe you may be welcomed at our camp. I have spent my fair share of time around your coven members, and I know not all are bloodthirsty killers. I hope that is the case here."

"If I had a target in the group I promise that my task would have already been complete and I on my way. No, I am not on assignment and if you know of my coven then you also know that we pose no threat unless threatened or slighted. I am Aethelwyne and the dragon is Dom. He is my companion and free to do what he will as he has been his whole life. He will not pose a threat unless threatened. We are on... respite...for awhile." The elf amused her. She smiled as she brushed the hair back off of her face.

Taran relaxed slightly, though he kept his guard up and ready for action. She was beautiful, and Taran was sure she knew it. He took a single step forward, as a test to her and her dragon. "I am Taran. Since you are a dragon rider, and no doubt know the Ancient Langauge, will you swear to me that you mean none of us harm, in any way possible? And, might I add, that includes your....looks." Taran smiled at her, more a sidelong glance than a smile.

"Ah well Taran. I cannot control the thoughts and hearts of others any more than I can blot the sun out of the sky. However, I will swear to you that I mean you and your companions no harm." She glanced slyly back at him as a smile crept into the corner of her mouth. 'I like him Doc. He intrigues me.'

Taran looked at her, then back at her dragon. Sheathing his sword, he took a few steps closer. "Very well, though I know the loop holes in that promise," he smiled lightly, glancing at the dragon again. "If you want company, and a fire, with some good tea if I might add, you may follow me. Though, if I were you, I'd change into something a little less...revealing. I do not know the others would react to seeing your tattoo."

Aethelwyne got a mischevious look in her eye. She started toward the elf slowly and positioning her long hair to strategically provide cover, she removed the gown dropping it at his feet as she passed by to put on a pair of black leather pants and tunic. "As you wish." she said with a playfulness in her voice.

Taran smiled and laughed as the woman dropped her gown, then proceeded to dress again. He turned away, giving her some privacy. "I hope it will not take you too long to be ready." Taran teased her.

She ran her hand across her face changing her hair to black and her violet eyes to blue then placed her hand on Taran's back almost as fast as he turned away from her. "Was that fast enough?" She laughed softly. 'I like him Doc. He's alright.'
