"I wont pay any more gold than this." The elf said calmly, but sternly. A human standing behind an assortment of goods wore a frown. She was stubborn, he had to admit that. He looked at the elf thoughtfully for a long moment. She was small and slim, but had a tough look about her. Whether it was due to her natural appearance, or to the cloak she wore the trader wasn't sure. The cloak hid her forehead and most of her hair, but he could tell that she had pretty light brown hair and green eyes. He'd noticed that she had started walking with a slight limp in her left leg when she'd come over to bargain. She was an elf, the trader didn't understand why she didn't just heal it. Another elf and two dragons waited behind her. "You can have the food, but if you want the gem then you are going to have to pay more." The trader couldn't read her expression, but she spoke a few moments later. "That gem isn't the highest quality, anyways." The elf said, not actually very worried about the quality of the gem. She just needed a new one to store energy in. Another rider had destroyed her old one in a fight sixteen years ago. Instead of breaking it to pieces and scattering them, the rider had annoyingly decided to make it "go boom." It was too bad that the gem was a valuable family heirloom. "Well." The trader said. "Since it is not as valuable as some, i'll make you a deal. Just a little bit more gold and it's your's." The elf put some gold into the trader's hand before he handed her the items she'd purchased.
"Marie, did you get everything?" Asked a muscular elf with brown hair. "I have my gem, loaves of bread, and greens. Do you want anything out of here, Jason?" Marie replied, poking around in the objects that now lay stacked in a small heap in Marie's bag. "I could honestly use some bread." Jason said. Marie handed him an entire loaf of the crisp bread. "That'll do..." Said Jason, picking a piece off to eat. "We should get a move on." Marie said, looking up at the sky where Amber was making a graceful circle directly above them. "You like to travel too much..." Mumbled Jason before he mounted a black dragon, Midnight, that was somewhat large for his age. Amber landed nearby.
Standing close, the dragons seemed to contrast each other. Amber's scales reflected the sun so brilliantly that they seemed to be an armor of flames. Midnight's scales shined with a mysterious reflective light. Amber was smaller than Midnight, but was known to be very fast and agile in flight.
"Ankle bothering you again?" Jason asked when Marie walked toward Amber. "It's stopped, now." Marie said with little emotion. "Good, I thought you just might start screaming." Jason teased. "Shut up, I haven't done that." "Well, you said the intensities vary." Jason pointed out. "It hasn't been unbearable yet when it acts up." Jason shrugged in response. "We should get going, then." With that, Midnight took off with Amber following close behind.

Well... where do you think we should continue from here? Little one we should rest after you seperated from Marie due to the Varden and an injury a normal human would die from, you had little to no sleep and there for worn out. Baviel looked at his dragon, Shiroryuu, with annoyance and a somewhat icy look, but knew he was right. Sighing in resignation he patted his bond showing he appreciated his concern and decided to head to the closest town, Teirm, and request a room from one of their inn's. Landing close to the border, Baviel dismounted from Shiroryuu, and told his bond of his plan while letting him fly free to hunt close to town. Once he went into town he looked around in a way of a sight seer, he headed to a adverage inn, purchased a room, and sat on the bed with his pack next to him. Sighing to himself once more his mind wandered to thoughts of Marie and wondered where she was and hoped she was alright. Laying down on the bed, he laid there with his mind wandering, and hoping he will find his love soon. OOC: sorry for taking so long had hard time even thinking of something and with a cold and work it was harder then it should of XD hope you like it

OOC: k Is this right after the battle at galbatorix's place? Because the plot of the site is sixteen years after that. I thought of a way for Marie to ironically end up in Teirm. A few hours had gone by, and they were still traveling. As to where they were going, Marie wasn't sure. They would have to stop sometime, they usually did when Marie decided to stop. Jason never objected, nor did he seem to care where they stopped. For now, they continued flying over the spine. Soon, Marie's mind drifted off. She pondered certain events, one event being the battle when Galbatorix was killed. It was also when Baviel and Marie were separated. Marie remembered leaving the battle when it neared it's end to pursue an old enemy and to avenge a death. The job took a bit longer than she'd guessed, but the death had been avenged. She had gotten a strange injury that could not be healed by use of magic. The injury had scarred over, and it gave her an attack of pain every once in a while. Marie recalled returning after a week or so to find that the battle had finished, and the Varden had won. Marie had felt guilty for leaving to pursue an enemy, but found that she'd helped the Varden more than she thought. When Marie didn't find Baviel anywhere, she begun to worry and started asking people who might have known. Someone told her that his injury could be fatal, and that was all the guy knew at the moment. Marie had known that Baviel had been hurt, which is why Jason went after Marie instead, but she hadn't known it was that bad. Anyone else who might have known something was busy with the matter involving the empire, or was somewhere else. Marie guessed that Baviel went somewhere to heal, since she did not find his or Shiroryuu's corpse. She did not want to think of this anymore. Marie felt a prickly tingle creep up the scar on her ankle. She froze, bracing herself. Amber noticed something was wrong seconds before pain exploded in Marie's leg. It felt like a stake was being driven into her, and Marie's face twisted into a pained scowl. Amber faltered, then landed with a thump in a clearing. Marie heard the beating of Midnight's wings as he quickly landed nearby before she began to feel fatigued and dizzy. Marie felt herself slipping off Amber, but didn't have the strength to catch herself. Marie felt a softness around her, and something wet on her ankle. She bolted upright and found herself sitting in a bed in a room she did not recognize. The wet thing on her leg turned out to be a wet cloth that rested on the scar on her ankle, which was an angry reddish color. The room had two beds and a table, one bed had Jason's stuff piled on it. There was also a piece of paper. Marie took the cloth and got up, pleased to find that she wasn't too tired from earlier. Jason's bow, and some of his coins were the only missing items of his. Marie picked up the paper, and read what Jason had written. I got us a room in this inn, we are in Teirm. Since you weren't awake yet, I wrote you a note before I went out. I will be back soon, after I get a few things. Jason.

OOC: yes yes it is o.o i thought thats what u were going with XD Baviel woke from his somewhat troubled sleep as Shiroryuu told him that it was time to wake up in a teasing manner. Grumbling to himself he got up and cleaned himself up before deciding to leave the inn for a bit, to restock on supplies, and move on to see if he could find Marie elsewhere. As he ventured around Teirm he went from vender to vender buying the bare essentials such as meat, water skins, and dry foods as well. Packing up his pack with his new goods he thought about wandering about Teirm just to see if Marie could have stopped here. After about an hour of searching around town he found no real evidence of her stopping in Teirm, but then again he wasn't sure if he described her effectively to the people he asked. Sighing to himself in disappointment he returned to the inn to collect his thoughts and think about his next move before he left town for a different place to search. When he entered his room placed his pack by his bed and laid on his bed while he told Shiroryuu about his poor attempt of finding Marie. Shiroryuu shared his disappointment and told him he would fly close to town today to keep a eye out for Amber just in case. Thanking him, Baviel continued to lay down on his bed wondering what he should do. OOC: how do you think they should meet? im curious and im not sure myself

OOC: Actually I meant it to be in the current plot line and sixteen years after that war. One of my sentences says "Another rider had destroyed her old one in a fight sixteen years ago.", and that rider was the guy Marie fought so I guess it kinda has to be sixteen years after that since I don't feel like changing my post lol. Your posts could still work in the plot so you wouldn't have to change it. (Run-on sentences= fast talking lol)
As for them finding each other feel free to have baviel extend his mind and recognize the feel of her's if you want or he could see her poking her nose into a shop which she will do here in a moment.
Marie left the note on the bed when Amber mentally prodded her. You're awake. Amber's comment seemed unnecessary, and more like something used to break the ice. How long have I been asleep? Marie asked, more curious than worried. A night, since the attack was yesterday evening. Marie mentally acknowledged Amber's reply. The wound seems more parasite than injury, as it seems to consume your energy each time you have an attack. Amber commented grimly. And you? Marie asked. Are you alright? I only felt your pain, it does not cost me energy as it does with you. I'm going out for a while to see all this town might have to offer, and maybe I will catch sight of Jason. Will you tell him this if he comes back to find that I'm gone and asks you where I am? Marie set the cloth near a window to dry, wondering if it had helped much. Amber mentally nodded while Marie packed up her bow and a few coins to take with her.
The town had a few good shops, one of which claimed to have a piece of art symbolizing peace between all races. Out of curiosity, Marie took a look at the sculpture. It was an interesting piece, which held something to symbolize each race. Marie was disappointed to find a dragon scale on the artwork. I wonder how that came into possession... She simmered down when she looked closer to discover that it was only a metal replica, and a well made one at that. At a time, Marie grew bored and entered another shop which sold various luxuries. She spent nearly an hour inside looking at and asking complicated questions about the jewelry just to annoy the shop owner. She got her full entertainment out of the experience when she waved good bye to the owner and left her standing there with a flustered and confused expression.

Baviel stretched himself out after a horrid night sleep once again, then decided to get ready to leave Teirm, and decided to do a one last check list to make sure he had everything he needed. Checking on his third time, he shrugged and decided to make a little extra purchases just in case, and walked out of the inn to the market once more. Browsing from shop to shop he bought a few extra cloth, seasons, and other unperishable foods before giving up on his shopping. Walking around a little bit aimlessly worried he might not find Marie again, he heard a faint voice that showed some hint of annoyance, and grew curious as to whom or what would cause that and headed in its direction. When he got closer he noticed that it was a shop that he passed by last time he was here that resembled a jeweler/accessory shop. As he drew closer to the entrance a young woman walked out after saying goodbye to the clerk, and looked as though she was amused with something. Upon further inspection he caught a faint rememberance of Marie from her and grew stunned. Could this person really be Marie? She has the same hair and face that I remember, Lets test something. As he thought this he both reached out to the woman both by hand and by mind and asked with thought and mind in unison, " Excuse me, but could you by chance be Marie? If not my humblest apologizes for such a manner." As he did he felt a little guilty asking in such a manner if it wasn't whom he hoped it was. As he asked though the mind he entered seemed very familiar to him and his hopes grew more and more as he waited for actual confirmation that it really was Marie. OOC: sorry for being so late half the time, with a cold and other things to take care of I have been having trouble thinking much hope you liked it though

OOC: Here comes one of those "I'll take that as a yes" moments. Marie's foot skidded to a surprised halt when a very familiar mind touched her own. She looked at the one who had contacted her and recognized the man at once. Baviel? A creeping feeling of happiness suddenly overcame Marie, and she found herself leaping into his arms. Marie hugged Baviel as if he would disappear as she looked upon him. Amber became curious toward Marie's sudden change of emotion, and extended her mind toward whomever Marie was communicating with. She soon realized, with surprise, that Baviel and Marie had found each other. Amber let her surprise, and welcome flow through Baviel's mind before letting them have their peace. OOC: I'm stuck in one of those awkward moments in which I can't figure out much else to write. Don't worry about it, I've been just as late.

OOC: Hehe sorry for taking this long x.x yeesh work sucks Baviel watched as the woman skidded to a halt when he entered her mind and saw her turn her head in his direction. When he heard her thought as a question asking if it was him he nodded with a near tear filled smile. Before he could say anything else he was caught by surprise as she jumped at him with happiness as barely kept his footing as he caught her holding onto her tight glad to be reunited with his love once more. As he held her he felt more relaxed then he ever did before while she was away and hoped to never seperate from her again. Before trying to say anything to Marie, he felt another prescence enter his mind and realized that it was Amber showing her welcome and surprise to him before leaving once more to leave them be. Gently brushing Marie's mind he said, I'm glad I found you my love, Come let us turn to a more private area so we can find out what has happened over the years with eachother. Shiroryuu, noticing Baviel's mood swing realized he found Marie, grew more relaxed as he went to extend his mind to Marie and said, It's good to see you again Marie, and I look forward to flying with you and Amber once more.OOC: hope this is good for you ^^ have a good day

When Baviel held her, Marie felt at home in his arms. She almost didn't believe it, but the fact that they were in each other's arms was proof enough for her. At one point her intense feelings overcame her and she completely opened her mind to Baviel. This was the first time her mind had been completely open to anyone. It probably was not the safest idea, but Marie didn't care. She had Baviel back, and he could know anything he wanted about her right now.
I suppose we will want to know what sort of perils each other has fallen too. Marie replied somewhat grimly for the fond moment. She was slightly reluctant to tell of everything that she had been through, but Baviel wanted to know just as she wanted to know about him. Jason has come while I have traveled, and I guess a reunion is in order if you want... However, shall we first speak, then meet Jason? Marie didn't mention too much of Jason, due to their obvious awkward history.
Greetings Shiroryuu, the same goes to you. Amber has missed you. Marie avoided saying any more to Shiroryuu about Amber, though. She suspected her bond favored Shiroryuu over other male dragons, and as a possible mate. Still, what she said was true, and Marie did not wish to leave Amber out of the greeting.

Baviel felt a little surprised as Marie opened the walls and borders of her mind to him and didn't really know what to say, even with that fact it didn't matter she was with him once more and he couldn't have felt any happier than he did now. When she mentally said that Jason was here with her and that if he wanted to see him in a type of reunion it was possible he was a bit curious about what even he had happen to him and said mentally, Well Marie let us enjoy eachothers company and discuss what we wish in some privacy. He chuckled with mirth as he said this and hoped to surprise her by opening his mind to hers completely showing she can know what she wanted while hoping to do so in privacy so no one might prod in their moment of reunion. Wrapping an arm around her with a smile on his face he asked out loud, but gently if he may escort her to the inn, so people around them wouldn't find it odd on how silent they were, and waited paitiently for her response not wanting to rush anything. Shiroryuu felt quite relieved and glad that the two met up with eachother and was heartened to hear that Amber has missed him while they were apart. He merely responded with a I missed her as well Marie and you as well. Where might Amber be so that I may see her once more? Showing curiousity in the contact while letting her and Baviel alone for the most part just glad his rider was once again in a more cheerful mood. OOC: Lord this was a long time coming x.x I'm quite sorry for not being able to do this till now. I'm just glad i could post though and hope you enjoy as well as a good day

ooc: Sorry about the somewhat short post. -_- For some reason I haven't felt like writing long stuff lately. Lack of interest perhaps? Or maybe it's just from writing all day in school. Anyways, I made this short so it would not become more of a chore to me. However, I hope the use of language will make up for it.
When Baviel opened his mind, just as Marie had to him, she was a bit surprised. She supposed Baviel had responded in a similar way to her sudden openness. Marie softly chuckled, knowing that it would make sense for him to be caught off guard. Marie was hardly ever open to anyone, and to some she might seem distant and shy. She looked to the side and noticed a woman staring at them. Marie blushed when she realized that she'd made eye contact with her, and the woman quickly looked away. "Privacy would be quite nice at the moment," Marie said, and chuckled quietly. "So, where is this inn?"
Amber tells me that she is in the forest just outside of the city, I hope you have a nice reunion. Marie replied cheerfully. She hoped that Amber would not be too hard to find. Oh, and Midnight is here as well. Marie wondered how well Baviel's bond got along with Midnight. I'm glad we met again, Shiro. She added warmly, using his nickname on purpose.

OOC: it is fine I was patient in waiting regardless. I can understand if you lost interest or wanted a break from it due to constant writing from school. Regardless the post alone is better then not at all and honestly short or not I found it good. Baviel felt Marie's surprise as he opened his mind to her as she had to him, but didn't mind it in the slightest, he was with her and nothing else mattered to him. When she asked him where the inn was he grabbed her hand softly and said, "This way Marie, shall we?" smiling to her with a warm and gentle smile gently guiding her toward the inn he had a room at. Even though his mind wanted to burst with questions he kept them silent to enjoy the moment with Marie till they had some privacy to converse on what has happened between the two and to be alone together. Shiroryuu Thanked Marie for informing him where Amber was and said to her as she mentioned Midnight, Ah I take it Jason is here as well? Tell him I give greetings and hope he is in good health. When she said his nickname to him he gave a mirth of laughter knowing she did it as both a tease and friendship and flew in the direction of Amber and Midnight to greet his brethren and to converse on what has happened sense last they spoke. OOC: hope you enjoy this post as well and hope you have a good day

ooc: I'm glad you still liked my post, and I liked yours. I hope your day will be nice as well. While Baviel was leading her to the inn, Marie was in a very short and awkward conversation with Jason. She'd contacted him mentally a few seconds ago, and she hoped Jason would let her talk with Baviel privately. Marie told Jason about what just happened, and what Shiroryuu said. I think It might be polite to greet Shiroryuu myself. Jason said after a short pause. Where might I find him?He will be with the other dragons shortly. Marie replied. Will we meet later? Jason asked. I will find you then, me and Baviel would like to have a chat. Marie hoped a meeting between Baviel and Jason would not be too awkward. Once Jason was finished with his little chat with Marie, he noticed the shopkeeper of the store he was in was staring at him. It made sense, Jason had been staring off into space for a minute or two. "I can't quite decide to buy either some smoked beef or bread." Jason said. "Might I have some of each?" The shopkeeper nodded, apparently thinking that Jason had just been making a choice while he'd been standing there. He packed up some bread and beef and gave it to Jason. Jason paid the shopkeeper, then left the store with the food in his bag. He walked out of town and toward the woods where Midnight and Amber were staying. Both dragons' expressions brightened when he walked to them. "Hello, you two." Jason said fondly to both of them. He could already see Shiroryuu coming. Jason smiled, and waved. Marie let Baviel guide her through the streets and crowds. When she recognized some of the buildings along the side of the walkway, Marie felt a suspicion about where they were going. When she saw the very same inn that she and Jason were staying at, a very amused and annoyed expression crossed her face. "I have a feeling that irony is laughing at us right now. Me and Jason rented a room here, too." Marie laughed then softly grasped Baviel's hand. "Shall we go in?"

OOC: Glad you liked it as always have a good day and awesome for posts ^^ Baviel turned to look at Marie when she mentioned that Jason and herself own a room in the same inn as he stayed in and that irony was amused of this. His eyebrows furrowed, but was somewhat amused at the comment and said, "Aye it seems fate has a ill sense of humor." When Marie asked if they would go in, he smiled as he grasped her hand in turn and nodded, guiding her to his room. Once reaching the room he turned to her and said, "Ladies first." and gestured for her to enter first smiling softly to her. Shiroryuu landed where Marie indicated and noticed Amber, Midnight, and to his curiosity Jason as well. Landing near the three he nodded to Jason as he said, Ah glad I am to see the three of you once more. It seems fate has smiled on us in reuniting with each other. He looked at the three of them and then asked with curiosity, So what brought all of you to this town in particular? OOC: sorry if it seems somewhat short :/ innovation wasn't smiling on me today x.x hope you enjoy it regardless

OOC: Similar to how I felt when I posted that other time. I hope we get our interest back for this thread.
Marie followed Baviel down the hall and past a few other rooms. They didn't pass Marie's room, which was on the floor above. Then, Baviel stopped in front of one room and Marie heard him say, "Ladies first." Marie smiled and entered the room, slightly amused. She found it amusing when men said things like that to her. Of course it was kindly of him to do so, but Marie wasn't exactly a "Lady." Marie imagined herself wearing a very feminine gown, going around acting very lady-like, and maybe sipping tea at a table while gossiping with some other women. Marie smiled at the thought. That kind of behavior would be very unlike her. "So Baviel," Marie started. "Would you like to talk first about your life since we separated, or is this another situation where ladies should go first?" Marie said with a sly smile as kind of a tease.
Jason watched as Shiroryuu landed nearby. Midnight and Amber said their hellos mentally, and Jason said out loud, "Hello, Shiroryuu. I am glad to meet with you again, as well." Jason paused. "Well," Jason started to explain, but wasn't sure how Marie would have felt about that. "to make a somewhat long story short, we have been traveling around for a while. We needed a rest, and some supplies." Jason decided to change the subject, "I decided to pick up some meat on my way here as kind of a snack for all of you. Would you three like some?" When both Midnight and Amber nodded gratefully, Jason took all of the meat out of his bag. He looked at Shiroryuu for an answer before dividing it between the dragons.
