Mar looked at her, disbelieving. Looking back at Caleb, he lowered his swords. "You save her life?" he asked. "Then I must thank you. I'm afraid, however, that she cannot go with you. She is my charge, regardless of my views in the matter."

Kalri still could not access her magic. Her anger now building within her. She looked at Caleb with narrowed eyes. "He wouldn't have had to save my life if he hadn't taken me in the first place! He drugged me twice, after hitting me over the head and," she was boiling with rage but the black magic normally seen when she was in such a state was absent, "I had to slit my own throat in attempt to keep from being taken!" It sounded very foolish and stupid as she said the words but at the time, it seemed like her only option. "Caleb saved me rather than let me die." She softened a moment. She still did not understand why he had done it.

Mar looked at Kalri, boiling with anger. 'It's probably better that her magic is blocked,' he thought, turning back to Caleb. "Kalri, relax. Let us hear his side of the story, and why he would take you in the first place. There is more to this than just eggs, and I sense something different about him, as if he were not Varden."

Kalri looked at Mar then at Caleb. She walked closer to Caleb but kept her guard up and her dagger in hand. "Well? Is it the eggs or is it something else?" She waited impatiently for him to speak.

Mar stood patiently, awaiting the rider's response.

"You are correct, in a sense. I work for the one who pays me, but I ally myself with the Varden. I have a terrible history with the Empire, they killed my family in front of my eyes, and I will never forget or forgive them. I don't harm innocent people or kill when I don't need to. I swore to this young girl that I wouldn't let any harm come to her, and I kept true to my word. I want the eggs for the children that have a fate like mine, the Empire's killed their families and create my own legion of Riders to end this war totally. Neither side wins and neither loses, both agree that one power should be enough, however I do not intend to rule, I have someone else in mind for that." Caleb said. He hoped that he hadn't delved to much into his plan, and hoping that he may have his first allies in these two.

Kalri tried to take in all that Caleb had told them. "It is not just the empire that has committed atrocities. Many have been committed under the protection of the varden as well." She looked away for a moment as she said softly, "In war there is no such thing as just and unjust. Atrocities committed in the name of truth and justice are still atrocities."
She looked sorrowful briefly. Perhaps she had been one of the greatest atrocities of this war. Her father was mad, she knew that, and she had been born of that madness. Born into this war. Constantly fighting the darkness and madness within her and the war between the Empire and the Varden outwardly.
Looking back to Caleb she asked him, "Tell me the real reason you saved me!"

"I agree that both sides have had thier share of atrocities. The reason I saved you is that I need a powerful ally in the Empire and Your a very beautiful girl. Like I said, I want to create my own order to put an end to this war. If you join me, we could make it happen." Caleb said

Kalri looked at him disbelieving as he called her beautiful again. "Beauty is fleeting. As for an ally..." She thought about his words for a moment. "I am afraid that I would need to hear more of your plans before making a decision such as that. To do as you ask would further complicate my life." She looked to Mar, searching his face for reaction to the man's words. "Besides, I do not know about aligning myself with one who acts based only on beauty. It would seem that he could be too easily swayed by a pretty face." She watched him closely as he was beginning to intrigue her. His motives were still a mystery to her and she was not on to act based on compliments. Compliments from men, for the most part of her experience, were a way for them to get closer to her father. She had learned at a young age to be wary.

(OOC: so? in love, age doesnt matter haha!) Mar remained silent, watching and listening. His oath to the king forced Mar to serve him. If he were free of that oath, he would chose not to be involved in the war at all. He wanted to help this rider, knew that both sides were wrong in some areas, but could not. He would not betray him, but he was unable to help him. "I would help you if I could," he said to Caleb. "But, I have sworn an oath to the king to follow him and do his bidding. You can trust me not to betray your plans, but I cannot help...I am sorry." Mar sheathed his swords, standing relaxed.

"I understand, and I do NOT make decesions on beauty. If I made them on beauty then why would I chose to be an assassign? I hate killing, but it's what I'm good at. I swore that I wouldn't harm an innocent person, beautiful or not. If you decide to join me, we can make the plans together, that way we have both points of view involved. Empire and Varden." Caleb said. He sheathed his swords, knowing that he had nothing to worry about now. "I need help on this, if Nasuada found out then I'd be hunted by both Varden and Empire.".

Kalri put away the dagger as she listened to what he said. She wanted to believe him but still she hesitated. If her father found out she would be dead, daughter or not. She walked up to Caleb until she was close enough to feel his breath upon her face. She stood resolute in her determination to find out about his plans. "Why do you seek the eggs of the Empire? Why not seek out the Varden eggs first?" She looked deep into his eyes trying to sense anything from him but her magic was still bound by the drug that he had given her.

"I can get the Varden eggs easily. I need someone on the inside of the Empire, and you are the best for the job. We can secure a location in the Boers and raise our own army there, the only difference is that we won't kill unless necessary, and we will finally put an end to this horrid war." Caleb said. He wanted the pair to believe him, for what he said was true, but he couldn't think of any other way. "You" he said, calling out to Mar, "search my mind and see what you find, I tell you the truth."

Mar stood rigid as the rider told him what to do. "No," he said simply, no emotion behind his words. "No one tells me what to do. But, I do hear the truth in your words. I wish I could help directly, but I cannot, as I said before. I will do what I can to assist, but I'm not sure what I can do exactly."
