Trinn was relieved to have a brief respite when Jaygon suddenly appeared. She at least new that he had survived, though he was often out on personal missions. Now Thora retreated, and they watched the old ebrithil battle his pupil. Thora longed to return to the fight, but she was becoming fatigued. Trinn took the time to heal the dragons wounds, mending the shreds in the thin wing membrane, cuts and gashes on her body. Thora roared now, feeling refreshed. Trinn scowled at Mammon's threat. "You can try, but you will not succeed!" Drawing on the emeralds strength, Trinn summoned up a spell and launched it at Mammon and Baal. A light shot out at them, blindingly bright for only they. To Trinn and everyone else it appeared a candle flame. Being tactful this time, Thora followed after the light, hiding behind it's blinding rays and positioning herself near Baal in a way that would allow Trinn to attack. She did so, timing her strike just right. Leaning up in the saddle, she thrust Vanta towards Mammon's stomach, trying to impale him. ***
The convulsions that wracked Tristan's body terrified Teodora. Was Meera killing him!? She became more worried when Tristan pleaded for the magic to stop. Unsure what to do, Teodora stood and stared, part of her knowing this was best, another part wanting to tear Meera away from him. At last the magician opened her eyes and stood, looking exhausted.
"I've done what I can for him." she said, and fell into a nearby chair. Teodora nodded and took her place, kneeling beside Tristan.
"I'm right here." she said, grabbing his hand when he called her name. When he passed out, she checked to make sure he was still breathing. He was, but his breaths seemed strained. "You better not die on me!" she warned through her tears. As dragons continued to roar above them, Teodora bowed her head, letting her forehead rest against it's edge. She struggled, but at last a small sob came out of throat. Tristan was dying, and she couldn't do anything about it.

OOC: Hey James, be careful of Godmoding characters. You can imply what your characters want to do, but give other people a chance to respond how your characters' actions affect theirs.
Locien watched with relief once Tismri began to heal Sidhion. He felt his rider regain some conscious, but he was still a bit livid and seemed to be trapped in his memories. The icy dragon's gaze then turned to Tismri.
I am not sure if I can pinpoint the moment we began to believe what we have. We have always longed for peace and believed that the Riders were capable of providing it. The dragon began to explain, despite his exhaustion and his own wounds, However, when Galbatorix began turning our own against one another, Sidhion began to believe that corruption and chaos was inevitable. He believed that no society would have peace unless we eradicate those with ill-will. And so, we fled, to find a way to bring our dreams into a reality. We heard of the Emeralds...their power so great that it would allow us to do what we dreamed of, but they could only be harnessed by an Ismalian.
Locien was willing to divulge everything to Tismri, he was so tired of this aimless quest. He once believed it, but after seeing what they had done over the past few years, made him doubt. Sidhion too, changed. He was once hopeful and happy, but now, he was just filled with lust for power and death. We knew that we had to get the Ismalians on our side, but they were not willing to give us their secrets nor did Sidhion trust them to obey him. So, he seduced one of the royals of the court and impregnated her. We hid the children in Ismalia and in Aegleasia in hopes for them to witness the chaos around them...but Sidhion's heart turned cold over the last 30 years. He is not the same. He just wants power. But now...after facing you and Trinn, I do hope that he's true self will reemerge. Help us, Tismri. He has always respected you and Trinn. You two were his only true friends. The massive dragon explained briefly all that had occured in the last century and hoped that Tismri could help.
*** Teodora's demonstration of sadness touched Lucia's heart. She had remembered well, suprisingly, of their visit to Freia and the confusion the young maiden had for the man in front of her. She knew then, that they both loved each other, but pride always got in the way. She reached out a firm hand and placed it on her shoulder. "He is a tough fighter; he will survive."
"Aye. Azoth is not one to die and leave us alone. No, I think he just enjoys giving us scares, is all." Seth added, his spectacles sliding down his nose, hoping to comfort Teodora. "Give him time. Besides, the paste I made, well, it helps the magic that flowed in him to heal him faster." She glanced over to Meera, who was understandably tired, and then back at Teodora. "He'll be right as rain in no time and then you two can get your loving on again!" She smiled, a pleased glint in her eye.
"Much thanks, pretty lady." Seth hobbled over to Meera. "Here, eat this. It'll make you feel better." He shoved some food into Meera's hands. "Eat up! You got a lot to do still!" He referred to the fighting going on outside.

The light blinded Mammon for only a moment, "I am no youngling Trinn, I have seen this trick before." Mammon yelled waiting for her move. That is when he saw it, a blade pierced the light, Mammon leaned back into his saddle to avoid its sting. However the black still sliced his cheek, it bled heavily, but only for a moment. Mammon returned Trinn's attack, swinging Freohr at about chest height. "Careful Trinn, I might be able to take a few blows from you. But one cut from Freohr and...well you get to find out why I renamed it." Mammon said with a twisted laugh, he was hinting at the poisons he used to ensure his kills.
Baal's mind touched Thora's for a moment "He speaks the truth, he combines three different types of poisons on his blade, each one is disgusting in its own way. The first is a paralytic, a very strong paralytic at that. The second, is a poison that seems to make the victims bleeds from the mouth, eyes, and ears, it stops after a while, he uses it mainly for shock and awe. The final one though is one that kills, once introduced into a cut or into the bloodstream the victim screams as if there was fire inside them. Once it reaches their brain...they die...they feel the poison's path...it's horrendous. Becareful to avoid Freohr's sting, the blade means death for a reason." Baal told her mournfully.

Jaygon, cloaked by magic, sneaked up behind Mammon and attempted to put his sword through Mammons back. Turma appeared from below and scorched Baal's underside with flames.

"How many times do we have to go through this?" Mammon snarled "Just leave this battle to us, can you do that?" Mammon asked cruelly. He flipped behind his old master and struck at his mid section, all the while he kept an eye on Trinn. "Two on one is not a fair fight at all." Mammon chastised.
Baal roared with anger and pain "Leave us be Trinn can more then handle him in the long run. The more even the odds are the longer it take for him to revive and the weaker he is. You and Jaygon must stay out of this fight you will ruin everything I have planned." Baal roared at Turma as her flames licked his underside.

OOC: Did the fire hit slade? How old is Slade, by the way?
Amber and Midnight swerved around the black dragon as he charged. They extended their claws and both aimed to claw down his sides. Prey? I think not! Amber growled.

Turma ceased the torrent of flame and asked, Why should we? What is your plan? Tell me, please. Jaygon leaped forward and spun around. He laughed almost madly, "When did I ever teach you that fights are fair in times of war. But this time I will respect your wish." Jaygon jumped off and landed on Turma's back upon which a small tent suddenly appeared.

"Hreinteinn loved Trinn at one point, before the witch tricked him into loosing Mammon. Hreinteinn takes control right before death, if he sees her it will give him more reason to fight Mammon when the wretch takes control again. But she must be the one who bests him alone." Baal told Turma and Jaygon. "You didn't let your loose cannon apprentice join this battle did you?" Baal asked Mammon fear rising in his voice.
Therin passed over a large black dragon, "Aldmirr you ready to ambush him?" Therin asked his beautiful blue bond. "Are you kidding me? We were born ready you and I!" Aldmirr exclaimed as she tilted towards the dragon that was spraying fire on the Varden. Therin took a moment to calculate his drop and then leapt from his saddle, he spread his arms and legs and tilted towards the riders dragon. Just before landing he drew his twin rider blades "Greetings, argetlam you serve the wrong side. I pity you, draw rider." Therin said his red eyes burning.

I told him to stay far away from you, no matter what, before the battle started, Jaygon directed the thought to Baal.

Tismri listened carefully as Locien explained the reasons behind his and Sidhion's actions. She could she could understand their desire for power, especially after having contact with the Emeralds. Allowing corruption to influence him was forgiveable. She stared up at Locien as she contemplated everything. "What he forgot was that there are few how truly wish ill will upon the world. Even Galbatorix believes that he is helping rather than harming. It is all too easy to fall." She looked back down at Sidhion, her brow furrowed in concern. She had struck him only briefly and already the wound was nearly healed. However, he seemed unconscious, or perhaps delirious. She placed a hand against his forehead, to see if a fever burned. Stay alive, Sidhion, she whispered to his mind. There is hope for you yet.

OOC: To Marie - I assumed that the fire wasn't directed at them...but if not, well, I'll just rectify right now. Also, is Slade being attacked by two dragons? Slade is roughly 2 and a half, as he hatched months after Saphira.
Slade barrel rolled out of the path of the flame and repositioned himself for the charge. He mentally smirked, eager for the battle as he and the dragon slammed against one another, talons extended and teeth ready for sheering. Slade felt the blood trickle down his sides. He snapped his teeth near his opponent's neck and his talons positioned to tear.
Selene was jostled by the impact of the dragons, she swung her large claymore at the Rider.
*** Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely. The great dragon recalled a lesson he had learned from the Elders. He sighed. They had become corrupted, but there was always hope. He had faith that his Rider would remember as well. He gazed down at Sidhion, who had healed. He could feel the elf stir, but was still regaining conscious. He may have healed outwardly rather quickly but Sidhion was still recovering internally from Tismri's attack.

OOC: Ok, Amber and Midnight are both three years.
Marie watched another rider jump into the fray. Three of us against him... Marie thought. Amber let out a roar. Amber and Midnight both charged from opposite directions meaning to crush the enemy dragon between them without getting too close to the other rider and dragon so they wouldn't hurt them. If the enemy would somehow fly out from between them, the two dragons planned to stop before they colided.
OOC: Posts where you attack are quite short...

Meera blinked drowsily at Seth. Sudden recognition dawned on her, and she smiled exuberantly. "I remember you! You and your lovely wife! I never did get to dance in that moon festival." Meera said wistfully. Looking down at the food that was pushed into her hand, she wondered what exactly it was. With a shrug, she devoured it, noting that it was rather sweet. At first she felt nothing, but gradually she felt her drowsiness fade. Feeling much rejuvenated, Meera hopped to her feet and strode towards the tent flap. She spared one more glance for the old couple, and then Teodora and Tristan. She hoped the prince would be well. ***
Teodora nodded, though in the back of her mind she was amused by the name Azoth. Wiping away her tears, she got up and sat at the edge of the cot on which Tristan lay. She caught Meera's eye as the magician was leaving. Mustering a smile, she gave the woman a nod of thanks, and Meera returned the gesture. The vixen then slipped out of the tent, to help aid the battle. Teodora envied her that. She was no warrior, not on this scale, anyways. And Tenal Ka was up in the sky with her dragon. The best thing she could think to do at this point was stay with Tristan, and make sure he survived. Taking one of his hands, she grasped it in both of hers and sat in ponderous silence. ****
Trinn felt a sense of dread at the explanation of Mammon's sword. Thora pushed away from Baal, to give Trinn time to cast further protective wards. The emerald's power aided the incantation, making the ward like a protective, impregnable cocoon around herself and Thora. With that completed, the emerald dragon resumed her attack on Baal, though she focused now on striking Mammon than Baal, knowing the real enemy lie there. Trinn gripped Vanta tightly to keep it from slipping out of her grasp in the dragons struggle. Thinking quickly, Trinn raised a hand and muttered in the ancient language, trying a spell she had practiced only a few times before. With the enhanced power from the emerald, it would be even stronger and more potent. Gradually, a ball of electricity began to grow in her outstretched hand, crackling as it spread. When she felt it was a sufficient size, Trinn stopped it's growth and then hurled it at Mammon. The electricity sped inhumanely fast towards him, snapping audibly as it race along.

Seth laughed as Meera finally recognized them. "Aye, you and that handsome boy of yours wander off before you could! Lucky for you, the Moon festival is again around the corner! We are planning to have a little festival of our own here; it might brighten the place up a bit!" "That it will! I do hope the others remembered, it would be a shame to have to just have us dance! Perhaps we can even get Teodora and Tristan to dance together!" Lucia said with glee as she whispered over to Meera before she left.
*** Whatever Meera or Lucia did, it was working. Tristan could feel the pain ebb and he was able to regain his consciousness again, albeit, he was still groggy. "Teodora?" Tristan called out again for her, as he blinked his vision in place. He smiled when his vision cleared on her. "Did we win yet?" He asked, not knowing that he was only out for a few minutes.
"Oh, good. He's awake. Well, dearie, our work is done! Don't let him try anything stupid again! We're going to go help with the healing!" Lucia waved her fingers at Teodora as she dragged Seth away. "Wait, wait...I wanna see if she kisses him!!" Seth whispered to Lucia as he was dragged away.
*** OOC: Marie? How many dragons are attacking Slade now? Is it 2 or 3?
*** Kyler stared passed Einar, spotting Vana fighting Elaine. Einar followed Kyler's gaze. "I must help my comrade, Einar! Please!" Einar stared at Kyler, a thoughtful gaze. "If we continue to just stare at one another the Empire will know I betrayed them! Let me pass!!" "You will not kill anyone?" "No. I gave you my word." Kyler stressed, not wanting Vana to get killed. "Very well. put be warned Kyler, I will not hesitate to kill you if you betray your word." Einar glanced at the Half-Ismalian with a threatening glance. "Now, make it look good." Einar smirked. Kyler understood. Typhon! Hurry! So we may help vana! The young dragon let loose a stream of fire as a reply.
Stigandr dodged to the right, but allowed an opening for Typhon to rip pass. Stigandr let out a growl, but glanced around to see if they could help with any other air battles.
*** Flying swiftly, Typhon reached Elaine and Vana, but off in the distance, he also spotted Selene being attacked by multiple dragons. Vana! let me handle Elaine! Selene needs help! I'm not good with multiple attacks, yet! Kyler tried to contact his beloved, hoping that she would allow him in briefly so they could switch attack partners. But he was unsure, seeing that Viel looked like she was in a blood thirsty rage.
OOC: tag team! mwuahahaha!
*** Down below the fight between the Ancients, Roland stared upward with a mixture of emotions. He had hidden himself very well since they had returned, but he was now, tempted to expose himself. He stared upward as Trinn and Mammon battled. He then glanced at Tismri and Sidhion. How has it come to this? He wondered to himself, recalling the days of the past. They were so innocent then. Suddenly an Empire warrior appeared as the Empire fleet began to attack more viciously. With ease, Roland lifted his scimitar and sliced upward across the man's chest. Roland then proceeded to defend the Varden and Ismalia, hoping that Trinn's battle would be her victory.
