Altrasky watched over the not so large country of Surda. It wasn't as if he had anything more important things to do. He wondered where his younger brother could have gotten to now. He passed an inn and stopped there for the night, he strode into the bar, his golden armor catching the last light of the sun.

Jaygon patrolled the boarder in the sky with Turma. They spied a large group of armed people coming towards them. Turma go and land near that outpost we need a guard to go get a local rider. When they landed Jaygon had to climb down which took the ancient than it used to. "Guard go get a rider for me please."
A guard walked into the inn and approached Altrasky at the bar. "Sir! Master Islingr needs your presence at our western most outpost."

Altrasky looked up into the gaurd's eyes. "Is that so? Well, if he's calling me I guess it's not for a drink." he pushed his chair back and once again looked at the guard, he pressed the unopened bottle of ale in his hand, "Good work, take this a a small token of my apreciation."

OOC: It's cool. IC: Altrasky nodded and walked to the door, pushing the wooden slab with ease. He ran swiftly to Nighblade and mounted him, looking up, then he grabbed the front of the saddle as they set out for the western outpost soon he arrived there and he leaped of his dragon and fell to the ground silently, looking at Jaygon and spreading his arms "Ho there. What need you of me old freind?"

Jaygon spread his arms in turn. "Kvetha, greetings. Did you not see the marching mass of soldiers before you landed? I need you to help me ready and lead this garrison in defense against them."

Altrasky nodded, "Well, this should be fun." he muttered as he stood and looked around him, noticing the watchtower, "I want archers up there." he said pointing at the tower.

'twas a dusky eve in that small town in Surda, where local militia gathered to defend their abodes from a full company or so of raiders. Mattheus was by no means familiar with armed conflict, and he wished he'd never end up in one. Donning his public clothes, the young lad had been promoting Imperial protection for several days. most of the folk ignored him, and quite a few spat at him. He'd have to clean off a fair amount of phlegm and spittle from his clothes when night fell, but until night came, it was his duty to stick around; proclaiming the securities of Galbatorix's guards.
"You there, knight of the golden pauldron! What is your name, young sir? The Empire wishes you great fortune and prosperity, and I come as a herald and diplomat for the councils of the Empire. As an Imperial diplomat, I come in behalf for the people of Uru-Baen and her fellow cities and town; the Empire may have a need for you."

Jaygon came down to the great city of Surda on Turma's back. Jaygon jumped off Turma before she even landed and sprinted faster than the eye could follow to the captain of the guard. "Captain I have just learned that the large party of raiders are actually a contingent of Imperial soldiers. You must mobilize the guard and local militia immediately," he said.
"Yes sir," the captain said. He quickly moved off and told the nearest group of guards and told them to inform the rest of the guards to prepare to defend Surda.

Altrasky jumped up onto Nightblade's back. he wondered if his last comment would really have been true, it didn't look like much fun from here. He saw a huge red sea of men. Only slightly late did he notice they had seen him as well. seven arrows flew through the air, he stopped five with a quick spell. He reached out and snatched the other arrow out of the air, he didn't see the last arrow until the razor-sharp metal edge peirced his shoulder, knocking him out of the air.
Altrasky fliped through the air, and prerpared to scream a spell to stop him.

"Hold your fire! Hold your fire!" Mattheus was reasonably perplexed, but tried his hardest to hold his frustration back. What use were words when these brutes and barbaric men would rather shoot on sight?! Recovering quickly, he readjusted his vest and ordered his diplomatic escort to lay down their arms. "Sir Rider, I speak on behalf of my escort when I say, I do apologize tremendously! My guards have heard terrible tales of the Riders; please forgive their transgression!"

"You're sorry," it was more of a statement than a question. "No, no my friend I am sorry, but you know Surda has made its choice. The Empire is no longer welcome here and the army that Galbatorix sent to raid the country will be put down." Jaygon walked up to Mattheus and patted him on the shoulder, "The only terrible riders are the ones who are corrupted by Galbatorix."

Deep down, Mattheus was hurt. This elf was about to make his first diplomatic mission a fiasco, from which many a wife and many a child would never forgive him for.
"Forgive me, master elf, but our King Galbatorix and his dragon riders have not seen fit to condemn a troop of guards for simply living in enemy territory; not this day. Aside from their panic at seeing a foreign rider take to the skies when they were empty as a cathedral's vaulted heights, those men have not attacked any Surdan, nor have they damaged Surdan property. Please, I request that you reconsider."
