Kalri sat with Mar, looking into the fire as the flames danced upon the wood. Her mind drifted. Her thoughts lingered on her happiness that he was free. That they were together. That life spread out before them, despite those who chased them to enslave them once more. She reached out, feeling all around her. Her eyes widened as she touched upon a presence. It softly brushed her mind with its own. She looked around as she scanned the area around them for the presence but could not sense where it was.
She turned to look at Mar. A fear rising within her eyes. "Mar...I think we may have a problem." Her voice was shaky as her eyes grew tearful. 'Not now.' she thought as the beat of her heart began to hasten. 'Not with all that is happening. This can't be happening. It has to be a mistake.'

Jeriah's eyes narrowed at Tyr for a moment, hardly believing her ears. Turning back to Einar, she gave him a smile. "I'm glad you mean no harm. I'm sure my husband," she glanced back at Tyr, "would be irritated if I got myself hurt. As long as I have your word that you will not harm anything around here, you may linger in this place as long as you like." She turned to Marola. Walking gently to her, she asked, "Are you all right?" Marola nodded and gave Jeriah a curious glance. "You're really the one Kalri killed?" Her voice held the slightest hint of awe in it. Jeriah nodded. Trendils of light burst forth from her before they fell to a soft glow. "There's a stream nearby. You can wash the blood off there." She stood and turned back to the two men. "Is there anything you wish to have while you're here? Do you need any kind of supplies?" OOC: yeah, Jeriah glows. Bizzareness, but she does. That' what happens after she dies and comes back to life. lol.

Mar looked at Kalri, then looked around them. He could sense nothing. "What is it?" he asked, looking into her eyes. "What is the problem? I don't feel anything or see anything. What is it?"

Tyr pressed his lips together as he heard Jeriah's words, and yet, he remained amused. I wonder how truly devoted she is to him... the thought played itself in his mind. His viper eyes watched the brightness shine from Jeriah. So this is what happens when a sacrificial lamb is resurrected....interesting...I've heard of rumors... He leaned on his sword, watching her interact with the over-dramatic Marola.
*** "I thank you for your hospitality, but we are well oft." Einar raised a curious eye at the brightness Jeriah illuminated.

Kalri looked at him with a hint of fear in her eyes. "Jeriah" her voice spoke in whispers as the word left her lips. "The Varden rider, the one I ......" she faltered momentarily. "She is within the Spine."

Jeriah nodded to the two men and was about to leave when two things happened to her. First, from behind her, Marola muttered, "I don't want to go...I want to stay here." Jeriah wondered why for a moment, and why Marola was sounding so pained. At the same time, more distantly in the Spine, Jeriah felt her. Kalri was in the Spine. This can't be...It's not the right time. A troubled look settled over her face. "What's Kalri doing in the Spine?" she asked the men. Her light increase the smallest bit, while she tried to keep the worry out of her voice. ~~~~~ Marola watched how Tyr looked at Jeriah with unconcealed disgust. She shook her head and was about to go find the stream Jeriah told her about when her abdomen became racked with spasms. She placed her hands gently over her slim waist until the pains died down. It wasn't anything too bad, but it was uncomfortable. She was worried for a moment, hoping nothing was wrong. What is it, Rola? Rauthr asked, concerned. I'll tell you soon, she assured him. There's someone else I need to tell first. She looked again at Tyr, and wondered at the wisdom of telling him. He may not take it lightly. "I need to talk with you...in private," she told him, standing. She swayed a little, feeling slightly sick and grabbig a branch for support. Then she walked away, motioning Tyr to follow.

Mar nodded, putting a hand on Kalri's shoulder, looking into her eyes. "It's alright," he said, leaning closer and kissing her lips softly. "Perhaps she can help us. She is with the Varden after all, and they are against your father."

OOC: JERIAH?!?!! Are you planning what I think you're planning!? Einar eyes twitched at Jeriah's question. Alertness and apprehension crossed his mind as he instinctively reached for his left hilt. "What do you know of Kalri?" He watched Jeriah with more attentiveness, wondering if she would pose a problem with their retrieval. *** Tyr pried his eyes off of Jeriah for a moment at the sound of Marola's voice, which sounded almost pleading. He saw her hand move over her stomach, causing his eyes to narrow at her. I thought she hurt her head... He slightly sneered at her request, but consented nonetheless. Placing his sword back into its sheath, and glancing at Einar and Jeriah, and then at a silent Caleb, Tyr followed Marola into the depths of the forest. "What is it now? More theatricals?" He asked her, as he slowly regained his strength.

Jeriah grimaced slightly at Einar's question. "Because," she said slowly, knowing how this would sound, "she killed me some time ago, in quite a memorable way." ~~~~~ Marola just stared at Tyr for a few minutes. How would be the best way to tell him? She finally decided to just let it out. "Tyr...I'm pregnant. And you're the father."

Tyr blinked erratically. "Wh...what?" Tyr mumbled with shock. "Impossible..." He continued to mumble with disbelief. "Are you sure...?"
*** Einar's eyes widened slightly above his mask, not knowing what to say. All he could respond with was an "Oh."

Jeriah watched as Einar's eyes widened, knowing he probably didn't believe her. "Death itself wasn't that bad...it was just the dying part..." Her hand moved up to where her heart had been, feeling the burning scar underneath. Then she focused back on the present. "I ask you again: what is she doing here?" ~~~~~ Marola blinked, infinately pleased that she had succeeded at shocking Tyr with something. "I've never been more certain of anything in my life," she said, "and I've known from the day it happened. If you wish to know for yourself, just reach out. You can feel his presence just as easily as if he were a grown man already." She placed her hand over her waist again, feeling the tiny life within her.

"Uh.." Einar cleared his throat after Jeriah addressed him. "She ran off with her lover. I have orders to bring her back from the King." He didn't want to elaborate on why.
*** Tyr mumbled various phrases of cursed words as he backed away from Marola, trying to ascertain the situation. "Impossible." He mumbled again to himself. He glanced back at Marola. "what are we to do now." He mumbled, a hint of humanity seemed to appear in his eyes.

"Ah..." was all Jeriah could say. Jeriah knew she could not help anyone in this situation. All she knew was that Kalri would live a while longer...until the day when Kalri's darkness and Jeriah's light would again conflict. ~~~~~ Marola shook her head slightly, crossing her arms. "What else is there to do? Whether either of us wish it or not, this child will be born...What do you think you should do?" She leaned back against a tree as another bout of nausea came upon her, never taking her eyes of Tyr.

Einar simply nodded. He glanced around, now aware that Marola and Tyr were now gone. "Where'd they wander off to?" He looked from Jeriah to Caleb.
*** "I...I...don't know...this never happened before...at least...I don't think it has..." He muttered. No...I can't raise a child... His mind told him, and yet...the idea of having a son of his own slightly appealed to him. "Yes...the child will be born..." He thought aloud. A child...of my own...to raise in the arts...a prodigy... The more he thought about it, the more the idea appealed to him. But I am no husband... He began to pace. "I will have a son..." He continued to mutter.

Kalri looked into Mar's eyes. "Jeriah will not help us my love. We are destined to battle right her within the Spine. I have seen my death at her hands. If she is here...I am in more trouble than just father." She reached a hand to his face. "I do not want to leave you now that we are free." She softly kissed his lips. If Jeriah was here, she would have to leave him. She could not bear him watching her die.
