"I was taught manners alright, but not for filthy men that have no respect for anyone but themselves." Caleb shouted. His blade was ready and with a thought his blade became laced with Ice so sharp and think that if it came within a few feet of another person, they would have frostbite. The clear shield on his sword made the dark blue hue all the more menaciing as he sat there waiting for Tyr to move.

Tyr couldn't help but grin at Caleb's response. He reached behind his back and unsheathed his longsword. "Bold words for a vermin." His grin never left as he held his fingers near his blade and muttered a word. His sword glowed brightly as it was coiled with deadly red flames. "So you want to play it this way, eh? Very well, I am obligated to please you, but I wonder...are your reasons noble now? Or did Marola not tell you about our good news?" He smiled deceitfully. "Would you like to tell him, Rola? Or should I?" He twirled his blade in his hand, casting a luminous dark glow around his face. The sounds of the flames scattered through the area.

Marola glared at Tyr angrily and sent a mental spike through his head so hard, she shattered whatever defenses he had up at the moment. NO!!!!! YOU ARE NOT TO TELL ANYONE! YOU HEAR ME? ANYONE! It took all her strength to keep herself from rushing at him and killing him right there. You can't tell Caleb. You can't tell Einar. You can't even tell the king. DO YOU UNDERSTAND??!!!

Angered that his concentration on the near future battle was broken, Tyr's eyes flashed with rage from the ringing of Marola's voice. SHUT UP! OR I'LL MAKE SURE THAT HIS LIFE WILL BE FORFEITED!! He referred to both Caleb and the unborn child.

Marola grew in her rage at Tyr's threat. She walked over and stood directly in between Tyr and Caleb. "You hurt him, and I'll see it takes you ten days to die," she said, referring to her child. She would not allow any harm to come to him, no matter what. Her eyes burning in rage, she stepped closer to him. "I mean it," she whispered, "not a word to anyone, or I will personally cut your throat. You hurt him in any way, you are going to die a long, slow, painful death. You got that?" She turned to face Caleb. At the sight of him, tears gathered in her eyes. "Caleb...you are Varden, I am Empire. You and I can never be. But no matter what, always, always remember that I love you."

Tyr rolled his eyes. "Fine, I will heed to your damn request now. But be warned Marola...my patience and temper is thin...and if you threaten me again in such a matter, I won't give you the courtesy of a threat; but action." He snarled out and watched as she addressed Caleb.
*** Einar glanced around, surprised that Caleb disappeared, with the others. "This is nonsense. Where'd they go?"
*** Faolan finally got the courage to approach the purple dragon and its female Rider. They did not appear to be a threat, so Faolan decided to approach; he would send Jade away in case they were an enemy. "Greetings. What is your purpose in Surda?" He asked, approaching carefully.

Marola grimaced at Tyr's words. "It was not a threat," she told him, "simply a statement of fact. I will never say another word on it unless you bring it up first." (ooc: I'm gonna god-mod Caleb a little here since he's, like, never on.) She and Caleb said a few words to each other. He tried to convince her to stay with him, but she insisted that it would never work. Finally, she couldn't bear it anymore. She grabbed Tyr's arm and dragged him back to Einar, struggling not to look back.

"Very well." Tyr mumbled as he watched Marola and Caleb interact. Tyr was slightly caught off guard with Marola's fierce grip. He then smiled as he was forced to walk Marola's quick pace. "Hmm, I always do like it when you take charge." He winked at her.

Marola gave Tyr a quick, angry glance. "You truly are a strange man, Tyr Valentine," she told him, "One moment you're threatening me, the next you're flirting." They arrived at the clearing where Einar was waiting and she shoved him forward. "Sorry about the delay," she told Einar, "Something came up."

Tyr shrugged. "You have that affect on me." As he allowed himself to be dragged back to Einar.
"Where have you two been? I'm about to leave." Einar crossed his arms, his mask hiding his frown. "Stop complaining, we're here." Tyr huffed and freed himself from Marola's grip.

"We've been...talking," Marola added with a vicious glare at Tyr. Then she walked over to Rauthr, who had been privy to her conversation with Tyr. He looked at her sadly, but there was also a look of wonder and joy in his eyes. Little one... he said, using a name he had rarely called her. Marola stroked his muzzle gently, then gave him a hug, understanding spreading between them.

Einar eyed Marola with suspicion, but didn't press the issue. "All right. Let's go." He glanced at Tyr with some annoyance. "I suppose you're riding with Marola?" He raised an eyebrow. Tyr snickered. "Only if she'll have me." He eyed her slyly.

Marola gave Einar a glare for even suggesting such a thing. She then smiled sweetly at Tyr. "I'll only have you after you decide to stop chasing after every girl who lives in the Empire. Until then, you're on your own." She climbed atop Rauthr and strapped herself in. Then they waited for Einar and Stigandr to lead the way.
