'Strange' thought Elyria. She wasn't sure what to make of what Elianora had told her. Other than Domia, Natal and Hern, she was not close to anyone. "Elianora I am sorry. I forget my manners. Would you like some food, perhaps some water?" She held the waterskin out to her.

Elianora ate and drank absently for a moment before remembering her manners. "Thank you, Elyria and Domia for your hospitality. It is much appreciated to meet a friend after traveling alone for so long."
She chewed reflectively. Then a smile lit her face. She turned to the other two. "Tell me, child, are you going into Du Weldenvarden soon?" Though the elves wouldn't let her in, how could they refuse a dragonrider? She waited in hopeful silence.

"Why do you ask Elianora?" Elyria asked her.

Ferlan was walked through Du Weldenvarden, Fethrfricai perched on his shoulder. Suddenly, he felt a sense of pain nearby, possibly a sudden burn. He ran toward the source and found two women there, along with a large emerald dragon. He was startled to see so many at one time and walked up cautiously.

"Because the elves refuse me on the grounds that I am not one of them!" Eli said with agitation. "I was born and raised in the forest, but they will not let me pass. I'm even related to the Queen! But if there's a rider for the Varden with me, they'll let me in."
She stopped. Another presence made itself known to her and she looked around at the black night. Standing, she used magic to find the presence. "Someone's here," she whispered to the two. "Do you feel them?"

"Aye. I do but I do not sense ill intent." Elyria told her as she reached out for the presence. "I feel great power and an ancient wisdom but not ill will."

"That is what I sense," Eli replied, tilting her head and smiling. "Two presences, actually. A bird and. . . . " She couldn't place the other presence, but shrugged it off. All will be revealed in time, she reminded herself.

Ferlan approached and made himself visible to the others, though he was not sure how to react around more than one person at a time. Of course, he was hardly ever this far away from home, either. "Kvetha, fricai," he called out to them, walking slowly.

Taran looked around him, noting to rare birds and plants, and the lack of conversation. They had been walking for sometime, but neither of them had made conversation. 'Maybe he is lost in his thoughts,' he thought as they walked.

OOC: Man what is it with you Taran? The endless walk in the forest, the endless night in the desert. Dude I didn't know Taran could make time slow to a crawl! lol
Elyria and Domia watched as the elf approached. Domia, sensing something, lowered his head to him. Elyria held out her hands in a sign of peace as she spoke, "Atra esterni ono thelduin. Mor'ranr lifa unin hjarta onr. Un du evarinya ono varda."

Ferlan nodded and repeated the greeting, then said, "I heard someone cry out. Are any of you hurt?"

Elianora touched two fingers to her lips in greeting, but did not give the customary phrase (ooc: I forgot it and my sister has the book). Instead, she bowed in human fashion to the elf. She gauged him to be younger than she by his appearance, and the depth of his eyes, but she did not know his precise age. Wisdom and knowledge both surrounded this stranger, a sign of much study and practice. Also, she sensed an aura around him which tasted of a sort of joy, and concern.
The half-elf smiled. "Nay. At least, I am not physically hurt. That cry you heard was one of surprise, not pain. But thank you for your concern." She touched the fingers to her lips again. A night breeze blew her hair and skirts around her, and the moon shown from behind scant clouds. She sighed as the cool air washed over her hot, but unburnt, face.

Ferlan nodded and said, "In that case, we shall be on our way." He turned to leave, but then the bird flew from his shoulder and litted upon the stranger's. Fethrfricai looked into Elianora's eyes for a full minute. Ferlan could not imagine what she was doing. The bird was not capable of comunicating through words, though she could express feelings if needs be. He knew, however, that she was far more intellegent than most birds and had some reason behind her actions. He waited patiently for Fethrfricai to return to him, standing awkardly among the women. He was not used to being with people for any reason other than to heal them.

OOC: Sorry, my computer died on me again.
Faolan walked with Taran in silence, enjoying the enormous trees and wildlife. (OOC: Do you mind if I speed it up? They've been in the forest long enough! lol) After a few days of traveling in the Du Weldenvarden, they had finally reached the end of the forest.
"It always saddens me when we leave this place." Faolan touched the trunk of a tree, embracing the spirit that laid within. His eyes glazed over to the direction where Gil'ead lied and over the Isenstar Lake. "We may make it to Gil'ead within three days."

Elyria looked at Ferlan. Sensing his discomfort she politely held her hand out to him, gesturing to the camp. "Ferlan would you care to join us? We were just talking and enjoying the day. We have food and drink if you wish."
Elyria watched and waited patiently for the elf to decide.
