Baviel chuckled about forgetting that Jason didn't eat meat, being around Marie made it hard to remember, and shrugged saying, "Okay it's understandable, I'll just cook what I can and save it for later." He grabbed his knife from his saddle bag and began to cut into the carcass, gutting and skinning it while cutting slabs of meat for jerky, sense it doesn't spoil as fast, throwing the inner parts and pelt aside in different piles.

As he cut the meat strips he hummed to himself and put the meat strips on the inside of the pelt to avoid getting them dirty. After he cut enough meat that he thought he needed he left what was left of the carcass and inner pieces close together where it was so animals could use it, willing to share with what ever needed it. Shiroryuu turned to look at Amber and Midnight seeing what they were doing wondering why Midnight was slinking his tail towards Baviel, but thought it a prank from the black dragon, and left it be.

Baviel chuckled at Marie when he remembered hearing her remark on cheese saying, "Aye cheese is a great piece of food, I hardly get tired of it." with his comment aside he wrapped the pelt across the slabs of meat, covering it as much as possible, tying it in a bundle to avoid getting it dirty and asked, "If you don't mind I will grab some wood for a small fire for this meat, If you wish to assist I have no trouble at all with it." He smiled and walked off towards some brush and foliage hoping to find some decent sized twigs and brush for the fire.

ooc: Have you noticed that I try to fit my writing style with the age of my characters? ^^ Like I try to make Marie sound and seem somewhat young and adorable.

Marie gave a small nod and watched Baviel walk off. Marie absent-mindedly gazed at a tree to her left. After a moment she decided she would climb it to pass the time. She stood up and walked over to the giant. Its high branches loomed out over her as she began to climb. Marie climbed a few brances before she had to hop to a far one. She continued to climb until she was almost to the peak. She didn't dare climb any farther in fear of damaging the tree's higher, more fragile branches. This hadn't taken her long, and she decided to simply sit there and watch the clouds.

Midnight saw Baviel hadn't noticed his 'snake-tail' and forgot all about the prank. Marie seemed to be having a nice time in the tree she had climbed.

Marie's climbing made Amber want to take flight. She opened her wings and rose over Jason, who was observing his badly dented pan. She circled the area above him, enjoying the cool air on her face.

Jason glanced at Marie in the tree, and gave a quiet sigh. The way her hair blew back... He sensed Midnight's curiosity and amusment and stopped his thoughts at once. Embarassment washed over him.
Please keep those thoughts to yourself. Remember, I feel your feelings.
Uh, sorry... Jason blushed.

OOC: yes I have and have you noticed how I made Baviel behave?

Baviel finished grabbing branches and brush for his fire and turned back towards the others. As he got closer he saw Marie walk towards a tree and began climbing towards the top. As he set down the brush and wood he collected he watched Marie sit in the tree, watching the sky by the way her head was angled, and couldn't help, but be entranced by how beautiful she looked. While his mind trailed off, Shiroryuu rolled his eyes mentally and snapped him out of it saying, Baviel, please, you know you share your emotions along with thoughts with our connection, please control your thoughts better, or at the least suppress the connection so I don't feel your emotions and see your thoughts on this subject.

Baviel lowered his head to the ground to occupy himself with fire making, while trying to hide his embarrassment from anyone who would look at him at the time. When he finished setting up the fire, he lit the fire and grabbed a small thin metal rod and skewered as much slabs of meat as he could fit and set up a make shift stand for the rod he brought with him for something like this and let the meat smoke and slightly cook from the fire as well. Shiroryuu lazily got up and started cleaning his scales to pass time while he waited for his bond to finish up what he was doing.

As Baviel sat their watching the meat cook he gazed on occasion towards Marie, and thought to himself, while avoiding to send as much emotion and thought he could on Shiroryuu's expense, I wish to ask her out... but I don't know what to say to her... He sighed to himself and waited on his meat to dry and cook while waiting to see when Marie would return.

ooc: Yep. He's kind of an akward guy, by the way XD. I made Marie sound a bit more grown up by adding longer, more descriptive words I've already made up my mind on who Marie would choose, but I won't ruin it for you. Why do my posts always have to be so short! Rawr! That came out of nowhere... At least this one is, beacause I have to go eat.

Marie's mind drifted for a moment and she changed her object of observation to the wolves again as they chased the deer herd. There were only five in the pack, the Alpha male and female, the beta, another middle rank wolf, and the omega. The Alpha female, a silvery gray wolf, had cut off a deer from the herd, and the others were working on bringing it down.

Amber loved to watch wolves hunt. They hunted in a way much like some dragons do. Amber slowly decended from the air and landed by the bones of her meal.

OOC: understandable and awkward how? by him being a goof, or just some way he acts? btw looking forward to finding out who she chooses and when that new thread comes to the front. and i dont mind if u pull out something random or not XD its funny and idc either if you pull up a short post just as long as its not so short and undescriptive just enjoy ur rping I am having fun one way or another

Baviel sat comfortably by the small fire he used as a a cooking fire while he waited for both Marie's return and his food to be done. He occasionally turned his head in Marie's direction, seeing her looking into the distance, and back to his food deep in thought bout how to ask her to date him. Shiroryuu watched Amber in her flight while still laying somewhat lazily on the ground still getting occasionally annoyed with Baviel's trailing thoughts.

After a few minutes Baviel managed to finish his food, pulling the rod away from the fire with care, and taking the cooked and mostly dried meat off the rod and back in the pelt temporarily. After setting his metal rod down on the ground to cool off, he strode towards Shiroryuu and his saddle bags to store the food he recently finished. While he sifted in the bags Shiroryuu tapped his mind and said, Baviel are you going to ask Marie now, or sometime later in this trip? Baviel froze somewhat, as if lashed in the back, and sighed saying to his bond, I'm not sure Shiro... I think I might ask now, but I'm not sure I can bring myself...

He was then cut off with Shiroryuu as his bond growled softly saying, Baviel you shall ask her soon, or I will let her know myself... you need to show her your feelings or she might not ever know. Baviel dropped his meat into the bag, not caring where they end up in it and looked into one of Shiroryuu's giant eyes and said softly, you're right Shiro... I should.

He laughed softly to himself and also apologized for pesturing him with his thoughts with Marie. Baviel turned to look at Jason and Midnight and said, "If you don't mind sitting here with Shiroryuu I'm going to check on Marie, see when she wants to depart." He smiled and not really waiting on Jason's reply he walked towards the tree Marie sat in while humming as he walked hoping Marie was enjoying herself.

ooc: Sometimes he can be a nervous goof, but that makes him fun. XD I feel like writing a novel. XD There's the randomness for ya. Yay my post ish long. Ish is a fun not-word. XD More randomness.

The wind blew strong on Marie's back, making her want to jump up and fly. If only she had wings.The wolves had eaten their fill and now had left, the Alpha leading them away. Jason looked quiet and somewhat frustrated, Marie noticed. Had Baviel angered him? No, Baviel wasn't a mean guy. Then, what was the matter? Amber do you have any insight in why Jason looks so upset?
No, I haven't got a clue. Maybe he is daydreaming about something unpleasant? Amber's mind grew curious.
I suppose he could. Marie peeked over a leafy branch to get a better look.
Do you wish me to ask? Amber glanced at both Midnight and Jason.
No, we should leave him to peace.
Alright. Amber didn't say anything more, so Marie watched Jason. Midnight had walked over, and seemed to be conversing with Jason.

Jason glanced at Marie in the tree. She glanced at him a few times with a curious look, and Jason supposed she was wondering why he was looking at her. He loved her, Jason would admit to that. Should I tell her? He kept his thoughts slightly contained so Midnight would not grow annoyed. He felt his bond's mind peeking in to his own.
You want to tell her how you feel. What Midnight had said was not a question.
Of corse, but... Jason's mind flooded with uncertianty.
But?
What would she say? Jason averted his gaze.
Midnight gave a mental sigh. Do you recall the day you first saw her? The look she gave you? I think you know what she would say. I was her bond once, or so we thought.
You could be correct. I agree, I will ask her...
Jason was snapped out of his chat with Midnight when Baviel said something. A moment later he left to go to Marie. "I think I just might tag along. There was something I wanted to tell her..." Jason followed Baviel, lagging behind a bit to plan what he would say to Marie. Marie I... No, that won't do. I might think of something when I get there.

Marie looked around for one last moment then hopped down from the tree. She landed on her feet in the soft grass beside the great trunk, pleased that she hadn't made a fool of herself by hurting her legs or falling from the impact. She started walking back and saw Baviel coming the way she headed along with Jason behind. I suppose they were growing impatient. She thought.
They both look like they've got something on their minds. Amber noted.
Sure does, we'll see what they want to say soon enough. Marie continued to walk toward them, and smiled.

Baviel unconsciously winced as Jason said he wished to go with him, grimacing mentally and secluded to avoid Shiroryuu's anger. While walking to the tree, Baviel leaned a little, with the wind, as the wind caught up in speed as he walked over to Marie.

As he got closer to the tree he saw Marie jump down from the tree with grace that even a human female would gawk at with envy, and then turn to move towards him and Jason with what looked like a smile on her face. As he closed the distance with her he gave her a pleasant smile of his own and said, "Enjoy your time in the tree Marie?" he chuckled softly and said, "Well I came here mainly to ask if you were ready for departure soon... and maybe something else."

He looked slightly down trying not to look so embarrassed when he was trying to piece a reply. While he did this Shiroryuu entered his mind and gave him a mental shove and a growl warning him once again on his threat. Baviel took a deep breath trying to calm down his heart rate and said weakly, "Marie... I..." he turned to look at Jason feeling even worse knowing he might hear this, but the threat Shiroryuu still presented was far worse to him as he finally turned to her and said with his face red from embarrassment, "Love you..."

He looked down waiting for someone to say something, even feeling his bond prod in his mind, encouraging him to look at her. Mentally pushing his bond away, he looked at Marie with embarrassment wondering what she would say, hoping she would say something about the same as he had, finding it hard to say anything else.

ooc: I wonder what I'd write a book about? Marie is based on myself. I am really quite shy. Well, until I get to know a person.

Marie blinked with shock, which quickly changed to another look. Love, maybe? Did she love Baviel? Jason's mouth almost dropped. A small fountian of anger seemed to rise in him, but only for a moment. Then, the obvious shock set in. Marie thought for a moment. What would she say? What could she say? She tried to manage saying a word, but before she could Jason opened his mouth.
Jason couldn't help but blurt out. "I was... just going to... say." The last word dropped very quiet. He obviously loved Marie as well.

Amber overheard this. Marie, say something! Amber urged, not wanting Marie to make a fool of herself.

Marie tried to let the sound out of her mouth, but it was like a beaver dam blocking the water. Marie couldn't seem to make a word out of her soundless mouth. She blushed, and all she could manage to say was a tiny, "Um...".

Amber mentally sighed. Poor Marie... She'd kept this to herself.

OOC: likewise on both who i base my character off of and how shy I am till i get to know someone. novel wise... um... my opinion is obviously fantasy though a good sci-fi one is good or you could mix in both a good example of a one such mix is "The Apprentice Adept Series" author is Piers Anthony if you're interested in looking it up

Baviel looked at Marie watching her blink in what seemed like shock, then saw the look change into something he couldn't tell what it meant. Still red in the face from actually saying what he felt, he turned his head quickly upon hearing Jason's comment and was thinking, What? Does he... Love her as well? He looked somewhat at Jason's face to see if he could find any evidence to his theory, but it was hard for him to tell.

He mentally contacted his bond and said, Sorry for shoving you aside my friend... Before he could say anything more he felt his bond roll his eyes at him as he replied, Baviel, it is more then understandable why you shoved me aside, though yes it was a little annoying to have you do so, but none the less it's something easily forgivable.

Baviel sighed in gratitude for not hurting his bonds feeling for being helpful, or annoying him to anger. Calming down slightly he returned his attention to Marie, giving her all the time she needs to say a response, though his mind on slight occasion wandered back to Jason and his theory.

ooc: I suppose, but how will your character really fit in? Fantasy books are great. I might look up that series. Have you read Warrior cats? Short post strikes again.

Marie, they await your answer. Amber continued to urge her rider to say something.
I know, but what will I even say? Marie tried to form a reply.
Do you love Baviel?
I may have feelings for him, but I might have just as well for Jason... Marie looked at Baviel and Jason. She thought for a moment, remembering meeting the two. Baviel's friendly smile when he welcomed her into the varden. Jason's voice as he greeted her when she joined. Yes, Marie did feel love. For both of them. Would she have to choose? "You do as well, don't you Jason?" The words flew out of her mouth, catching Jason off guard as well as herself. He was speechless. Jason nodded.

Jason knew what would happen next, or at least soon. Marie would have to choose. That is, if she felt the same way for each. Jason could tell Marie had feelings for Baviel. The way she looked at her akward friend. Does Marie love me as well? She seemed to look at him the same way sometimes. The day they first met. Jason mentally sighed. He could not stop thinking of her. The way she talked and moved. Her hair flying in the wind... He wanted to hold her close. Embrace her in his arms...

OOC: im sure it might be possible in other threads soon to come like running into each other later on in one and such. btw its a old series (the books i mentioned) but a darn good one none the less. also no i haven't read that book before i might look into it soon when im not busy.

Baviel felt awkward when he turned in time to see Jason nod to Marie's question. He turned to face her once more, still red in the face, and looked somewhat down finding it both irritating and awkward to find out Jason has the same feelings as he does towards Marie. Shiroryuu mentally shook his head when he heard his bond's thoughts on what is currently happening, finding it rather uninteresting to him, so he began cleaning his scales as he waited patiently to venture forth once more.

While his bond cleaned his scales, Baviel sat down on the ground, finding it quite uncomfortable to stand any longer, and continued to wait patiently for Marie's decision. I would say something, but... I don't know just what to say. I don't want to sway her decision by anything I say anyway, unless she asks me and Jason to do so, because it is her decision not mine... Baviel sighed softly to himself as he hummed his mother's song out of nervous habit as he sat their calmly, hoping to hear something from either one of them soon.
